The production "Gossip Girl" season four is officially in motion. Leighton Meester and Blake Lively have been spotted in Paris to film at least two scenes on Monday, July 5. The first two episodes of the new season are indeed taking place in the French capital.

According to French site Grazia, the filming will be done at, among others, a French University called La Sorbonne which is located in the Latin District Quarter of Paris. Expected to join Meester and Lively in the filming are Ed Westwick and Clemence Poesy, the latter who has just been cast as Chuck's mysterious lady friend Eva.

Meester actually has been close to France in the past few months because she was shooting for "Monte Carlo" in neighboring country Monaco. Along with her "Gossip" co-stars, she is expected to return to the Big Apple for the rest of the filming on Thursday, July 8.
