Scheduled to debut next month, the upcoming reboot of the popular teen series teases just as much drama as the original with a new love triangle being introduced to the viewers.

AceShowbiz - The Gossip Girl is back. On Wednesday, June 9, HBO Max unveiled the first trailer for upcoming "Gossip Girl" reboot which teases just as much drama as the original. On the new series, viewers will also be introduced to a new love triangle.

Set to Frank Ocean's "Super Rich Kids", the trailer opens with a steamy scene featuring a threesome between two guys and a girl. Jordan Alexander's Julien Calloway later says in voiceover, "We're a group of friends who've known each other since we were babies. We have trust and history."

Later, enters Zoya Lott who is played by "Chilling Adventures of Sabrina" star Whitney Peak. Zoya will definitely cause drama in the popular group with Emily Alyn Lind's Audrey Hope warning Julien about Zoya. "She is a stranger who has found herself in your friend group with your boyfriend?" she says while several scenes feature Otto "Obie" Bergmann IV (Eli Brown) spending some intimate time with Zoya flicker on the screen.

As for Zoya, she makes it clear that the last thing she wants is being involved in a drama. However, it won't be easy for her since Gossip Girl, an anonymous account on Instagram, returns to haunt them. "Did you miss me? I know I've missed you," Kristen Bell, who reprises her role as the voice of the mystery blogger, narrates.

The new "Gossip Girl" is based on the book series from author Cecily von Ziegesar as well as the original teen series that was created by Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage. Joshua Safran, who was the writer and executive producers on the original show, serves as the showrunner for the new project. Josh and Stephanie join Joshua as the EPs on the reboot.

Also starring Thomas Doherty, Tavi Gevinson, Evan Mock, Zion Moreno and Savannah Lee Smith, the new "Gossip Girl" is set to arrive on July 8 on HBO Max.
