The actress' husband Simon Monjack says his world has been destroyed since her death, while her half-brother Jeff Bertolotti puts the blame on Hollywood for her passing.

AceShowbiz - Having been married to late actress Brittany Murphy since 2007, Simon Monjack is devastated by her sudden death Sunday, December 20. In an interview with Access Hollywood on Monday, December 21 he poured out his feeling upon losing his actress wife, stating "My world was destroyed yesterday".

"I loved what Ashton wrote on Twitter. It was comforting to me," Monjack said referring to the Twitter tribute written by Murphy's ex-boyfriend, Ashton Kutcher, who called her "a little piece of sunshine". Monjack then added, "I couldn't have said it better."

Opening up about what really happened the day Murphy was found unresponsive in the shower at their Los Angeles home, the British screenwriter claimed that up until then, it had just been "a regular day." Still according to Monjack, "[Her mother] Sharon went into the bathroom because she had been in there a long time. Her mom screamed for me and I ran. Then called 911."

In further interview, Monjack also addressed the on-going speculation about the event that led to Murphy's death, saying the film star had been sick, but nothing was serious about her condition as she had seen the doctor. "She had laryngitis," he told Access Hollywood. "She had been tired at the end of the year. She had made a couple movies."

On report that his late wife might have been linked to people who brought bad influences on her, Monjack had this to say, "I don't know why anyone would think that. She found love. We found love. Brittany didn't get to where Brittany was with anyone controlling her ... Brittany was Brittany."

In the same tone with Monjack, Murphy's half-brother Jeff Bertolotti also expressed his grief. "People come into the town with their dreams and get chewed up alive and those who make it get chewed up alive anyway. And that's what happened to Brittany," Bertolotti told People. "She's a casualty of that town."

Though so, Bertolotti refused to blame Murphy's closest ones, claiming "I'm not saying it's their fault, but I do think they should have taken care of her better. I think she should have been cared for." He continued saying, "Look, if she died at 32, something is not right. What happened? I don't get it. At 32 years old something happened. I don't know what. I'm sure there was no foul play. It's just that something is wrong. ... It's heartbreaking. I was crazy about that kid."
