During her appearance on 'The Oprah Winfrey Show', she said there is actually a different ending to her second book which later on was reviewed by her mother and changed.

AceShowbiz - Stephenie Meyer who sold million copies of "Twilight" series was Oprah Winfrey's guest on Friday, November 13. The author did the pre-taped appearance of "The Oprah Winfrey Show" as the only interview she would do to promote the latest movie based on her book, "The Twilight Saga's New Moon".

During the talk, Meyer spilled a secret about the second book of the series, "New Moon". She revealed, "I'm pretty open about my writing, but there was a different ending to 'New Moon.' Originally it was much quieter [and] in Bella's head." Her mother Candy Morgan was the one who suggested her to change the ending and the introduction of the Volturi clan. "I introduced the Volturi earlier than expected and that whole scene at the end is there," she said.

Moving on to how she got the idea to write "Twilight", Meyer confessed that she was initially not familiar with vampire literature. She said the idea popped up during her dream and it was translated in Chapter 13 of the first book. She elaborated, "I woke up. In the dream it was two people in a circular meadow and one of them was a sparkly boy and one was just a girl who was human and normal and the boy was a vampire, which was bizarre."

Oprah slipped in a question about the chick magnet of the movie, Robert Pattinson. Speaking about the actor's scent, Meyer said, "He smells great. Rob is hilarious. He is the funniest person. He's not at all like the Edward character. He's so different. He just doesn't look like anyone else, in a good way. He's very striking looking."

"Twilight Saga's New Moon" hits the theaters in U.S. on November 20.
