The Los Angeles County Coroner's Office has made it official on Friday, August 28 that Michael Jackson's death was a homicide. The 51-year-old performer died of "acute propofol intoxication." Other sedatives that contributed to his death as listed in his autopsy report were Midazolam, Diazepam, Lidocaine and Ephedrine.
The coroner did not release Jackson's full autopsy report though, citing a security hold requested by Los Angeles authorities investigating the case, and declined to comment on further questions. The official ruling, thus, confirms earlier report citing an anonymous law enforcement official that the crowned King of Pop's death was ruled homicide.
And the Jacksons are quick to address the ruling, saying in a statement "The Jackson family again wishes to commend the actions of the Coroner, the LAPD and other law enforcement agencies, and looks forward to the day that justice can be served."
Investigation, in the meantime, is still on going with Jackson's personal physician Dr. Conrad Murray becoming the target in the manslaughter investigation into the superstar's death. Neither Dr. Conrad nor his camp has commented on the Los Angeles County Coroner's Office's official announcement.
