Runner-up of "American Idol" season 8, Adam Lambert, opens up to People that he is "about halfway done" in working on his first post-Idol album. "We've been doing a lot of work on it during the tour as well ... We're still gathering material and we're scheduling more recording sessions for when it's over," he said.
In further statement, Adam reveals that the album's songs cover pop and rock genres. "There are songs on there that are anthems; there are song that make you want to dance; there are songs that make you feel sexy; there are songs that touch you, hopefully, with more emotional, insightful, deeper lyrics. There are songs that are more in the line with a rock sound. There are some that are really pop-oriented," he explained more.
Though so, Adam didn't spill the beans on the working title and release date for the album. Rumor flying on the streets suggests that the record will be dropped across United States on November 17, the same day his Idol pal Kris Allen releases his debut album.
As for who will contribute to this studio project, various reports in the media claim OneRepublic's vocalist Ryan Tedder, Linda Perry, Kara DioGuardi, RedOne and Sam Sparro have been tapped for the effort.
Most recently, Adam Lambert scored music for movie "2012 (2009)". The title of the track hasn't been disclosed. According to Queen's Brian May who got privilege of listening to the song before anyone else, the song is "sensational" and "obviously a number one smash." It is still unclear when the track will come out. Also, there is no word on whether or not it will be included his upcoming album.
