The actress-singer is "a little depressed" because of her recent split from the footballer and that's why her family is worried about her, a family friend of Jessica claims.

AceShowbiz - Following previous report of Jessica Simpson having hard time dealing with her recent separation from boyfriend Tony Romo, a family friend of her opens up to People about how her family is worried that the split might affect her in bad ways. "She's a little depressed," the friend says. "She takes breakups really badly," another source chimes in, adding "She has a hard time letting go."

The family friend reveals further that Jessica's parents "encourage her to go out and have a good time, like she did this week" when referring to the time she was spotted hanging out with some female friends. Nevertheless, Jessica herself "feels she's being judged by the world and opts to hide out at home," adds the family friend.

"The family feels bad for Jessica. They worry for her a lot," the family friend continues telling People. "The family used to have such faith in [Jessica] and they worried about Ashlee (Simpson). Now they are fully confident in Ashlee's choices and they worry most of their days about Jessica. It seems she just can't catch a break."

Jessica Simpson had been dating Tony Romo for nearly two years when report sparked last week that the footballer dumped her on the eve of her 29th birthday on July 10. Despite mounting talks surrounding her failed love relationship with Tony, Jessica has been keeping herself away from the spotlight and has not yet issued a word on the matter. As for Tony, he's been spotted partying at a number of nightclubs with some of his friends.
