First look at the forthcoming "The Expendables" has been shared through production photos. Released through Ethelmae's Blog, the three brand new pictures from the set of the action adventure movie exhibit four of the film's cast members, Sylvester Stallone, Jason Statham, Eric Roberts and Stone Cold Steve Austin.

One of the pictures shows Roberts and Austin leaping off side by side in the air to avoid the huge explosion to their left. Meanwhile, another photo displays Stallone's character Barney Ross running amidst the smoke with a gun on his hand. The last image gives out Stallone walking together with Statham.

"The Expendables" centers on a team of mercenaries who heads to South America on a mission to overthrow a dictator, who has caused devastation in the last 20 years. The principal photography of this action adventure had begun on March 28. The shooting will be taking place in locations, such as Brazil, New Orleans and Los Angeles.

Directed, written and starred by Sylvester Stallone, this Lionsgate movie will also see Jet Li, Mickey Rourke, Brittany Murphy and Charisma Carpenter among others in the cast ensemble. Previously, it has been reported that Forest Whitaker has bowed out of the project. Initially 50 Cent was set to replace Whitaker, but then Stallone revealed that Whitaker's role has been given to Terry Crews. It is expected to be finished for April 23, 2010 U.S. release.
