Along with Leona Lewis, British band Coldplay are confirmed to perform at this year's ceremony of American Music Awards. They will join the previously-announced performance lineup, which includes Jonas Brothers, Pink, Rihanna, Ne-Yo, Taylor Swift, The Pussycat Dolls, and New Kids on the Block.

"We're thrilled to have Coldplay and Leona Lewis, both first-time AMA performers, on our live show this year," Orly Adelson, the president of Dick Clark Production, Inc. who produces the show, says. "Coldplay's unique rock sound and Lewis' soaring pop vocals add extraordinary new elements to this year's superb group of performers."

Producer for the show, Larry Klein, also reveals that David Archuleta, Ashley Tisdale, Demi Lovato, and T-Pain will present awards at the 36th annual ceremony. Meanwhile, additional performers and presenters will be announced in the coming weeks.

The star-studded ceremony will be held on Sunday, November 23 at Los Angeles' NOKIA Theatre to pay tribute to popular musicians from various genres of music and to put audience in touch with the latest phenomena in American music. The annual show will be hosted by comedian Jimmy Kimmel and broadcast live on ABC at 8:00-11:00 P.M. ET/PT.
