Movie

Providing some details about her character, Sharpay Evans, in the upcoming 'High School Musical 3: Senior Year', Ashley Tisdale spoke out about what Sharpay is eyeing for.

AceShowbiz - Like many highly anticipated movies, much details about the teenage-romantic musical "High School Musical 3: Senior Year" has been kept under tight wraps. Little that has been shared lets out simply that the Wildcats are in their senior years and that Troy and Gabriella are facing the prospect of separation. But, now more details are coming out and they concern the spoiled Sharpay Evans.

Speaking out about what her snobby character will go through this time, Ashley Tisdale sat down with MTV on Thursday, July 10. "Now she's competing for this Juilliard scholarship," revealed the 23-year-old. "You know how she is when she wants something! You know, she has to get it." Giving more hints, the Disney star added "I can't say much. But she is around some tough competition. I think she feels [that entrance to the revered performing arts college] is her step to Broadway."

Talking more about a key scene with Lucas Grabeel, Tisdale unveiled that "HSM 3" will present a bit of Fosse. "We bring back a little bit of Fosse," she explained. "I have this musical number with my brother Ryan, and I'm trying to reel him back over to my side. Because, you know, now he is accepted by the Wildcats in the sequel. So really, she's like: Come to my side and we will get the scholarship."

Furthermore, the Maddie Fitzpatrick of Disney series "The Suite Life of Zack & Cody" confessed that there is a song performed by Sharpay that mixes two of her favorite singers, Gwen Stefani and Black Eyed Peas' Stacy Ferguson. "There is a song that is like Gwen-Stefani-slash-Fergie meets Sharpay Evans," Tisdale said. "It was so much fun!"

"HSM 3" stars also Zac Efron, Vanessa Hudgens, Corbin Bleu and Monique Coleman among others. It is the third installment of the mouse house original series, but is the first one to make a debut on the big screen. Directed by Kenny Ortega, the movie is coming out on October 24.
