Pop/R 'n' B singer Robin Thicke has finally revealed more details about his second studio record "Something Else" by revealing its official release date. Speaking to Billboard.com, Thicke announced that his sophomore effort will be hitting the shelves on September 9.

Beside confirming the new album's release date, on the interview Thicke also explained about the type of music fans will get on the new LP. The singer stated that the new album is like a cross between "classic Philly, Motown and '70s black disco meets the creativity of The Beatles and Bob Dylan."

Moreover he also added that his album can offer something what the people need saying, "I felt like a lot of stuff out there sounded the same. Plus, there are a lot of things going on in the world with the recession and the war. It made me feel like everybody really just needed something new, something else. It's time for a change and there is hope for everyone."

To promote his new album, Thicke has already released "Magic" as the first single through radio airplay on May 20. The music video for the new song is about to be premiered on Friday, July 4 via FNMTV. Beside that, the track itself also appeared as the song for Samsung mobile phones' commercial in Europe.
