Hollywood hottest hunks, including Daniel Craig, Hugh Grant, and Robbie Coltrane, managed to raise 19,000 pound sterling or $38,000 for The National Film and Television School in London by selling their kisses at an auction, held on Tuesday night, June 17. Barbara Broccoli, the "Quantum of Solace" film producer, paid the staggering amount to lock lips with all the three men at the fundraising event.
The star-studded Great British Movie Event, moreover, also witnessed Craig and Grant bid against each other for an uncorrected proof of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone, published in the U.K. as Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone, which the James Bond star won for 18,000 pound sterling or $36,000. Other items at the auction included a dinner jacket worn by Craig in "Casino Royale," which sold for $19,000.
British TV presenter and DJ Jonathan Ross hosted the event, which raised a total amount of 400,000 pound sterling for the school.
Is having the latest James Bond film, "Quantum of Solace" which he's starring in, is slated for a November 7, 2008 release date, Craig was seen arriving at the wrap party for flick on London's Southbank on Sunday, June 22.
Earlier this month, the hunk suffered a minor hand injury while filming the highly anticipated action, adventure, drama. "There was a minor incident on set," Columbia TriStar Motion Picture Group spokesman Steve Elzer confirmed at that time. "Daniel injured his hand. He sought medical attention. He was back on the set within a matter of hours and production went on."
