A Los Angeles judge has on Thursday, December 20 signed off the divorce between Eddie Van Halen and wife Valerie Bertinelli, thus made it official for both parties to enjoy their single status again after 25-years of marriage.
"The parties have resolved all their issues amicably in mediation," said the divorce documents. "Neither spouse shall take unfair advantage of the other spouse." Still according to the court papers, both Eddie and Valerie have already divided their assets and are devoted to raise their 16-years-old son, Wolfgang Van Halen.
Eddie and Valerie first met in 1980, when the "One Day at a Time" actress went backstage after a Van Halen concert in Shreveport, La. They got married the same year.
Valerie originally filed for divorce in December of 2005 despite the fact that she and Eddie officially separated four years earlier. She cited the usual irreconcilable differences for the split.
As of Wolfgang Van Halen, the teen has been living with his mother since the split, but of late has been on the road touring with dad's revamped Van Halen.
