Beware of your tongue for it might get you into troubles. Darren Hayes is the victim of his own sharp tongue. The Australian singer-songwriter was arrested back on July 22nd after allegedly made a racist remark to a London waiter.

The former front man of pop group Savage Garden was questioned by police on Friday August 17th after allegedly abused a male member of staff at Busaba Eathai Thai restaurant. He was released on bail and has since refused to comment.

Speaking on that incident, a Scotland Yard spokesman said, "We can confirm that a 35-year-old man was arrested by Westminster police on suspicion of racially abusing a member of staff. He was arrested after voluntarily attending a Central London police station by appointment. He has been released on bail pending further inquiries, until the 21st of September."

A Busaba Eathai Thai manager, in addition, also confirmed the incident involved a verbal attack by Hayes on a member of staff.

Hayes' solicitor, elsewhere, posted a statement on the singer's Website confirming the arrest, which read Hayes was "deeply upset at the allegation which he strenuously denies. Anyone who knows Darren will recognize that the particular nature of the allegation is totally abhorrent to him and contrary to everything for which he has stood."
