The huge success of "300" no doubt has brought such great impact for its leading star Gerard Butler as the actor has successfully snatched not only one but three roles, each in "Game", "The Untouchables: Capone Rising", and "Nim's Island."

For "Game", Butler will play a man living in the near future where the ultimate online simulation environment is humans remote-controlling other humans in mass-scale, multiplayer online gaming. Filming on the project will start in January 2008 with "Crank" creators Mark Neveldine and Brian Taylor both writing and directing for Lakeshore Entertainment.

While "Rising" definitely will team him up with Oscar-winner Nicolas Cage, who has already been billed as a younger version of Al Capone, the British thesp is joining the other Oscar champ Jodie Foster as well as Abigail Breslin in "Island", an adaptation of the Wendy Orr children's novel set to be directed Jennifer Flackett and Mark Levin.

Among the three, Butler will likely to film "Island" first, which is scheduled for a late July start in Australia for a planned release on April 25, 2008. Meanwhile, production on "Rising" has been reported to begin October this year with Brian De Palma directing under Paramount Pictures banner.
