Snoop Dogg was held by Swedish police overnight Monday March 12th on suspicion of being under the influence of narcotics.

The rap star was arrested in a car in central Stockholm after performing at a concert with P. Diddy at the city's Globe arena. He was heading to a party after a concert in the Swedish capital when police stopped the car he was riding in around 1:30 a.m. (12:30 GMT), said Stockholm police.

Still according to the police, Snoop and a female companion in her early 20s showed signs of drug use and were taken to a police station. To make matters worse, a small amount of narcotics was also found in the car, yet it has yet been identified what kind of drugs and if it belonged to Snoop.

Both Snoop and his female companion were required to provide a urine sample before then released some four hours later. "The tests will be analyzed, which normally takes about two or three weeks, and then we will see whether charges will be pressed," Stockholm police officer Mats Braennlund said.
