Singer Jimmy Buffett was detained after authorities found more than 100 tabs of "ecstasy", a club drug, in his luggage.

AceShowbiz - Jimmy Buffett, the singer-songwriter best known for his hit "Margaritaville", was temporarily detained at Toulon-Hy�res International Airport in the south of France after customs officials found more than 100 tabs of Ecstasy in his luggage during a trip to the French Riviera.

The Grammy-winning star was not arrested though and instead paid about a $400 fine and was allowed to continue on his way.

Buffett's publicist, in fact, denies the singer had ecstasy in his suitcases, insisting customs officials had found only 20 medicine prescribed by his doctor. The spokeswoman remained tight-lipped on what the pills were and why the entertainer was forced to pay a fine.
