As the date to begin production on "A Mighty Heart" draws near, things are being geared up for the project to meet the schedule with the cast members preparing to start taking scenes as well.

The Associated Press has reported that the film's lead actress, Angelina Jolie, has safely landed her feet in Pune, India where the shooting is slated to be commenced. Along with the beauty also comes Brad Pitt who has been confirmed to produce the picture via his Plan B. In the meantime, about 50 workers have readied a couple of spacious bungalows for the film's set while assistants scouted more locations appropriate elsewhere in the city.

The movie previously was intended to be shot in Karachi, Pakistan but as the Pakistani authorities denied permission, production then is moved to Pune which is said to closely resemble Karachi's landscape. The streets of Karachi and the broad avenues of Islamabad are thus re-created in the Maharashtranian city also Mumbai.

Depicting the life of Wall Street Journal reporter Danny Pearl who was kidnapped and murdered in Pakistan in 2002 while researching a story on Islamic militancy, "Heart" is supposed to start filming next week with Michael Winterbottom at helm. Jolie will play the wife of Pearl who is portrayed by "Judging Amy" star Dan Futterman.
