Irish rock band U2 received Amnesty International's annual Ambassadors of Conscience award on Sunday in Chile's national stadium

AceShowbiz - Irish rock band U2 has added another award to their collection as they were named Amnesty International Ambassadors of Conscience for 2005 on Sunday Feb 26th in Chile's national stadium.

Band members Bono, The Edge, Adam Clayton and Larry Mullen, as well as their manager, Paul McGuinness are all honored for using their music and celebrity to champion human rights causes for more than two decades.

Handed the award to the honorees is Chilean President-elect Michelle Bachelet.
