In the complaint Studdard claims Edwards has, between August 1, 2003, and November 30, 2004, faked paperwork giving himself power of attorney over him.

Further the complaint mentions Edwards to have used Studdard's credit cards to take $105,000, written checks for $150,000, and deposited the stolen $22,000 of Studdard's to his deposit. For his part, Edwards totally denies all allegations and claims Studdard actually owes him money and so he filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy June 17. Aside from the legal dispute, Studdard will next perform at the Memorial Hall in Plymouth, Massachusetts, on August 6.
