Selena Gomez Returns to Disney for 'Wizards of Waverly Place' TV Movie
September 28, 2012 08:09:15Selena Gomez isn't done playing Alex Russo, months after "Wizards of Waverly Place" ended its run on Disney Channel. The actress/singer will reprise her role in a new TV movie which she will also executive produce alongside Vince Cheung, Ben Montanio, Dan Cross and David Hoge.
The girlfriend of Justin Bieber will reunite with co-stars Jake T. Austin, Jennifer Stone, Maria Canals Barrera, David DeLuise and Gregg Sulkin for the one-hour special. Victor Gonzalez is on board to direct with the script provided by Cheung and Montanio. The telepic is slated to kick off the principal photography in October in Los Angeles for a 2013 premiere.

'Wizards of Waverly Place' Finale Promo Debuted
November 14, 2011 11:11:32"Wizards of Waverly Place" will end its run after four seasons and the series finale has been previewed in a promo video. It compiles old scenes featuring Alex, Justin and Max using their powers as the three young wizards are battling each other in the Wizard Competition.
Teasing that one of them may be the family wizard and get the powers as well as responsibilities attached to the title, the promo also highlights the issue faced by the contenders. Alex is worried that Justin will beat her, while Max is deemed to be unpredictable.

First Look of Jackie Evancho on 'Wizards of Waverly Place'
February 25, 2011 03:02:40"America's Got Talent" runner-up Jackie Evancho has scored a guest appearance on Disney Channel's "Wizards of Waverly Place" where she got the chance to work with Selena Gomez and her co-stars. The first look of the 10-year-old singer appearing as herself has been released via several stills and on-set images.
Evancho, who wears star-spangled banner as her dress, will visit Tribeca Prep to sing at their "Spirit of America Play." Jennifer Stone's Harper, who dresses up as a cactus, will also be taking the stage for the first time. Jackie gives Harper a run for her money.

Coming as guest stars in multi-episode arc are Bailee Madison who joins as an "adorable" wizard named Maxine and Gregg Sulkin who reprises his role as Alex's love interest, werewolf Mason.
In the new wizardly twists and turns, everything is not what it seems, as Alex is tricked into announcing to the world that she and her brothers are wizards, and a duplicating spell goes haywire, changing Max's life forever.

Noah has frequently appeared on Miley's show "Hannah Montana", even appearing on the movie version as a background dancer. Her first major engagement in a movie was providing a voice in animation "Ponyo" together with the youngest Jonas sibling, Frankie Jonas.

Coming Ahead: 'Wizards of Waverly Place' Season 4 and Movie Sequel

The network has announced in a press release that there will be a fourth season of "Wizards of Waverly Place", the series starring Selena Gomez and David Henrie. In addition, there is a plan for a second TV movie which will follow the success of "Wizards of Waverly Place: The Movie".
Production on the fourth season of "Wizards" is scheduled to begin August with Vince Cheung and Ben Montanio as the new showrunners. This duo, who are known for their work in "Married with Children" as well as "Greetings from Tucson", replace Peter Murrieta who quit the show in April. Meanwhile, creator Todd J. Greenwald sticks to the executive producer role alongside Cheung and Montanio.

September 29, 2009 03:09:01Disney Channel is having confidence in "Wizards of Waverly Place" that it extends the contract of third season for eight more episodes. The series starring Selena Gomez, David Henrie and Jake T. Austin, thus, goes from 78 episodes to a total of 86 episodes.

The premiere episode is called "Franken-girl" where Justin got so fed-up by Alex constantly going through his stuff that he creates a female monster to guard his room and to think like Alex.
The October slate will also coincide the month of Halloween. On the October 30 episode, Justin begins his Monster Hunting course and gets more than he bargains for when Juliet and her vampire family turn out to be the three monsters he's searching for.
