'Survivor: One World' Cast Members and New Twists Announced

A month away before the premiere, ": One World" introduced the cast by featuring them in a picture and a video. As host Jeff Probst describes in the video, among the 18 contestants who come from different backgrounds, there are plenty of villains, some unique characters and a couple of smart people.

It has been revealed before that the contestants will be divided into two tribes based on gender, Manono and Salani, and they will live together. "We wondered what would happen if we forced them to live together with no rules," Jeff says about this major twist. "You can do whatever you want. But when it comes to the challenges, it is men versus women. And that gave us tons of new stuff to play with."

Having just crowned the 23rd season winner, "" is already looking forward to the new cycle. A sneak peek to the 24th season, which is subtitled "One World", was debuted during the Sunday, December 18 reunion show and the video has now landed online.

It teases a new twist in which the tribes, called Salani and Manono, will live together on the same island while the previous seasons put the competing groups at separate camp sites. The teams will also have to decide whether or not they will share their resources while competing for the $1 million grand prize.

": South Pacific" has ended with a surprising victory for Sophie Clarke. The medical student, who was widely seen as a dark horse, won most of the jury's votes when it was down to her, Benjamin "Coach" Wade and Albert Destrade in the race to win the grand prize.

The two-hour finale of "Survivor" season 23 on Sunday, December 18 began with the final duel between Ozzy and Brandon, who made a huge mistake by giving up his immunity before he was sent to the Redemption Island in the previous episode. The challenge was to holding onto a pole as long as possible.

'Survivor' Renewed for Two More Seasons, Premiere Date for 24th Cycle Announced

CBS will air at least three more seasons of "". The network has announced that it orders season 25 and 26 of the TV's longest-running reality competition, which will be filmed back-to-back this spring, to follow-up the upcoming 24th cycle.

The Eye has additionally set a premiere date for the new 24th installment, scheduling it to debut on February 15, 2012. Jeff Probst will return as host and executive producer for all three seasons.

CBS is yet to make the official announcement, but ": South Pacific" contestants and their details have been released online. Compiled by Survivor Sucks forum, the list unveils 18 cast, consisting of 16 new contestants and 2 returning players, who will be divided into two groups.

In the Red Tribe, there are Oscar "Ozzy" Lusth who has previously competed in "Survivor: Cook Islands" and "Survivor: Micronesia". He will be joined by go-go dancer slash Miss Washington 2007 Elyse Umemoto and Harvard Law School John Cochran, among others.

'Survivor: Redemption Island' Winner Is Boston Rob

": Redemption Island" has crowned its winner in Sunday's (May 15) episode. As it was predicted before, Boston Rob easily took home the million dollars prize since he showed his control over other contestants throughout the game.

The two-hour finale started with the Final Duel between the four contestants at the Redemption Island. Andrea, Mike, Grant and Matt were challenged to balance a vase on a seesaw with one of their feet at the other end of the board. The one with the last vase standing is the winner. In respective order, Grant, Matt and Mike were out, so Andrea got a chance to rejoin the castaways.

Boston Rob continues showing his control on ": Redemption Island" by having other castaways vote out Grant on the Wednesday, May 11 episode. His initial plan was to vote out Ashley, but it was scrapped when she won immunity.

Earlier in the episode, Andrea, Matt, Mike and Ralph had a duel at the Redemption Island. The task was to use a handle to maneuver through a table maze, followed by collecting puzzle pieces and solving the puzzle. Ralph was the first to complete the table maze, but he could not finish the puzzle faster than the other tree contestants, so he was officially out of the game and joined the jury.

Next week on ": Redemption Island", there will be a so-called "biggest blindside ever" which is planned by Stephanie. The 26-year-old waitress enthusiastically talks about it with Russell. While Stephanie is ecstatic with her plan, Andrea is on the other hand pissed off with something her pals did.

Matt is the latest contestant who has been voted out in this latest installment of "Survivor" franchise. The 22-year-old pre-med student has his name written down in February 23 episode titled "You Own My Vote". Upon learning his fate, he simply said, "Good work guys, my goodness. Have fun."

'Survivor' Host: People Won't Grow Tired of Russell Hantz and Boston Rob

The rumors are true, Russell Hantz and Rob "Boston" Mariano are the two mystery cast to return to the latest "" edition. These two have appeared in the franchise more than once. Hantz, was the runner-up of "Samoa", and second runner-up of "Heroes vs. Villains". Boston finished 10th in "Marquesas", 13th in "Heroes vs. Villains" and 2nd in "All-Stars".

"Having never been awarded the title of Sole Survivor, Hantz and Mariano return to compete for the $1 million prize and one last shot at redemption," CBS said in a statement. "They will each join a separate tribe of all new castaways at the start of the game, but it is the tribe who will ultimately decide if they will welcome the knowledge of an experienced veteran, or view these former castaways as a threat."

Two castaways are still kept a secret but they are from the show's past seasons. Rumor has it, they would be Boston Rob Mariano ("Survivor: Marquesas", "Survivor: All-Stars" and "Survivor: Heroes vs. Villains") and Russell Hantz ("Survivor: Samoa" and "Survivor: Heroes vs. Villains"). The show traditionally has equal number between women and men, so with 9 women already revealed, it is most probable that the mystery castaways are of male.

In its 22nd year, the reality show is in need of a big twist in the rule and so the producers came up with "Survivor: Redemption Island". Fresh off crowning Jud 'Fabio' Birza as the "Nicaragua" winner, CBS releases the trailer while EW publishes an interview with host Jeff Probst.

The trailer shows a familiar terrain because the new season was also shot in San Juan del Sur Beach in Nicaragua. But there will be a separate island which would accommodate the outcast. "How it works is very simple," Probst explained to EW. "When you're voted out at Tribal Council, you don't go home. You're not out of the game. You go to Redemption Island and you live alone."

Jud 'Fabio' Birza Wins 'Survivor: Nicaragua'

Jud "Fabio" Birza is the Sole Survivor of ": Nicaragua". The 21-year-old model from Los Angeles beat 24-year-old singer Chase Rice and 30-year-old real estate broker Matthew "Sash" Lenahan in the December 19 finale by gaining five votes from the show's nine-person jury of previous contestants.

That night, Fabio won his three straight immunities including the coin-stacking challenges. He also won fellow survivors' sympathy when giving a tribute to his family in the Tribal Council. In his opening statement on the final Tribal Council, Fabio said he was "himself" while Chase chose to boast about being the one who outwit and outplayed everybody else.

'Survivor: Nicaragua' Drops First Promo

CBS unleashes the first TV spot of ": Nicaragua" this week and it contains testimonials from the castaways who are divided into two tribes, The Espada and La Flor. Those individuals aged 40 years and above are teamed up in the former while those 30 years and younger occupy the latter group.

"There's a lot more attributes that favor us than they do the young and the disoriented punks," tech executive Marty Piombo said. Meanwhile on the other side, art student Alina said, "They think they know everything. And it's gonna be a lot harder for them to bond."

": Nicaragua" is ready to reveal the twenty castaways that will compete for the title of Sole Survivor and $1,000,000 prize. This 21st season, the game show is about battle of the ages where the 20 contestants are separated into the olds and the youngs. The Espada Tribe for individuals 40 and older and the La Flor Tribe for those 30 and younger.

One notable cast joining this season is legendary football coach Jimmy Johnson who actually has tried to enter the competition twice before. He didn't get through the first time around and had an artery blockage the second time around. His motive is simply to challenge himself. "He's incredibly successful, so he has fame," host Jeff Probst said. "He'll tell you, 'If I win, I'm giving it to charity.' He really wants adventure."

With "Survivor: Heroes Vs. Villains" wrapping up on Sunday, May 16, CBS is ready to introduce the next chapter in the "" franchise. The 21st season, as host Jeff Probst announced during the reunion episode on Sunday, will take place in the largest country in Central America, Nicaragua.

"It is a land of impenetrable terrain, smoking volcanoes and savage wildlife," the narrator says. It is also the land which Chrisopher Colombus discovered and was almost captured by Spain. Unlike "Heroes vs. Villains" and other all-star editions, "Survivor: Nicaragua" would star "a brand-new set of survivors." No date yet for the premiere.

In the battle of ": Heroes vs. Villains", a villain came out victorious. Sandra Diaz-Twine originally from "Survivor Pearl Islands" was declared the winner of the show's 20th season which brought back fallen contestants as well as previous winners to compete once again based on how they are known as.

Sandra, a 34-year-old bank teller from Fayetteville, N.C., beats strong contender Russell Hantz of "Samoa" and Parvati Shallow of "Cook Islands" and "Micronesia" in the final three although never once did she win a challenge. She subsequently is the first contestant to win "Survivor" twice. "It makes me the queen," Sandra said of the double victory.

It was one for the Villains in the new season of "" when Jessica "Sugar" Kiper was voted out by 9 of her teammates. The former contestant of Gabon edition had to give up her second chance at winning the show when the Heroes chose her over Amanda Kimmel to leave first.

In "Slay Everyone, Trust No One", Sugar did not contribute well to the team during the Reward Challenge. It was a head to head race across various lanes marked in the sand. They had to dig a bag in the sand, run to the finish mat and repeat it three times. Sugar struggled through this and even got her bikini top ripped off.

During the broadcast of 36th People's Choice Awards on Wednesday, January 6, host Jeff Probst stepped up on the stage to announce the cast of "" season 20 dubbed "Heroes Vs. Villains". The all-star edition brings back the previous contestants who are selected based on either their integrity or deception.

Natalie White, the just-crowned "" winner, sat down to answer some questions from fans regarding the aftermath of her victory. Sitting next to her and also answering questions was runner-up Russell Hantz who was originally touted to be the winner of the "Samoa" edition.

"I'm so kind of in shock and definitely has not sunk in yet," Natalie said when asked whether she was surprised of being voted the winner on the Sunday, December 20 finale. "... I was so excited when I heard my name." Regarding her reaction to Shambo coming down hard on her during the jury vote, Natalie said, "She and I are great friends on the island. We truly were. I was probably the most shocked about her. Definitely took me off guard. [But] we've talked about it, she apologized. No biggie."
