'Survivor: Cambodia-Second Chance' Cast Announced

Having just wrapped up its 30th season called "Worlds Apart", "" has announced the cast for the next season which is dubbed "Survivor: Cambodia-Second Chance". The 20 contestants were chosen by fans and were revealed at the end of the 30th season finale on Wednesday night, May 20.

They include Kelly Wiglesworth from season 1, Kimmi Kappenberg and Jeff Varner from season 2, Terry Deitz from season 12, and Stephen Fishbach who is the runner-up of season 18. Two former castaways from season 27, and three from season 29 were also chosen to return by fans.

": Worlds Apart" has crowned the winner after 39 days in San Juan del Sur, Nicaragua. The season finale began with five castaways Mike Holloway, Rodney Lavoie Jr., Carolyn Rivera, Will Sims and Sierra Thomas.

Before the reward challenge, they were reunited with their loved ones. Carolyn met her husband Joel, Mike met his mother Deborah, Rodney met his father Rodney Sr., Sierra reunited with her father Danny, and Will reunited with his wife Monifa.


'Survivor: Second Chance' Contestants to Be Picked by Viewers

"" is giving viewers a full control over casting for the next installment. It was announced in the May 6 episode of "Survivor: Worlds Apart" that fan could choose which former and current players who will compete in the next season dubbed "Second Chance".

Thirty-two players from 30 seasons of the show are eligible to be voted by fans on cbs.com/survivorsecondchance starting Wednesday. The voting will open until Wednesday, May 20, one hour before the season 30 finale. The 20 competitors (the top 10 men and top 10 women) will be announced during the live reunion show.


'Survivor: San Juan del Sur' Names a Winner

After 35 days in San Juan del Sur, Nicaragua, only five remained on "" season 29. Baylor Wilson and her mother Missy Payne were the blood couple left in the competition, facing off against Jaclyn Schultz, Keith Nale and Natalie Anderson in the two-hour finale.

After the girls discussed Jon's elimination, they were all called for the reward challenge. In this game, they were attached to a rope twisted around a frame. Once they unspooled it, they moved to assemble bridge with wood pegs. Missy, who twisted her ankle last week, couldn't compete in the challenge.


'Survivor' Editors End Strike Over a Labor Dispute

"" editors have returned to work after a strike that lasted less than one day. The Motion Picture Editors Guild announced late Wednesday night, August 13 that the show's producers agreed to let the post-production crew unionize, ending the brief walkout that threatened to delay the show's season 29 premiere.

MPEG said in a statement, "On Wednesday evening, the company agreed to the demand we issued on Tuesday for union recognition for the post crew of CBS's reality series 'Survivor'. Contract talks have been scheduled for Friday. In the meantime, our strike action has been suspended, and 'Survivor' post-production employees will return to their jobs on Thursday. Our picket line will stand down until further notice."


'Survivor' Editors Go on Strike, Premiere Episode Isn't Finished

"" editors go on strike six weeks before the new season of the show is scheduled to kick off. That post-production crew of the long-running reality competition series walked off the job on Wednesday morning, August 13 as they seek a union contract with health and retirement benefit.

"The post crew of CBS' #Survivor has walked off the job, halting post for an IATSE contract," the guild tweeted, adding that no editorial work would resume on the series until Mark Burnett's Island Post Prods. Inc. agrees to a union contract.


Two 'Survivor' Contestants Exited Show Before Filming Began

The "" drama began even before the show started the production of its 29th season, which is titled "San Juan del Sur - Blood vs. Water". Host Jeff Probst recently revealed that two contestants were forced to leave the competition just 48 hours before the filming in Nicaragua was slated to begin due to medical reasons.

"We just lost two contestants [Friday]," Probst told Entertainment Weekly's Dalton Ross and Jessica Shaw. "We came out here with 20. We spend months casting our show - months. I mean, this is like... who you're gonna ask to prom. All year you're like, 'Is it her or her?' and 'Will she say yes?' "


'Survivor: Cagayan' Crowns a Winner in 'Dog Vs. Player' Finale

All those broken promises and backstabbing led to the finale of ": Cagayan". Kassandra "Kass" McQuillen, Spencer Bledsoe, Tony Vlachos and Yung "Woo" Hwang were the four remaining players in the last episode aired on Wednesday, May 21, but only two were heading to the final tribal council.

Tony knew that his special idol was no longer usable but he didn't tell his fellow castaways and used it as a bluff to guarantee his place in the final three. Kass got a visit from her husband before the final four gathered for an immunity challenge.


'Survivor: Cagayan' Features All-New Cast Members, Splits Contestants Into Three Teams

CBS has announced the cast of ": Cagayan: Brawn vs. Brains vs. Beauty". The upcoming 28th season of the reality show will feature 18 brand-new contestants. This will be the first time "Survivor" does not feature any returning players since 2012's "One World".

The castaways will be split into three tribes of six based on dominant attribute: athleticism, intelligence and attractiveness. Despite their "distinguishing qualities," each tribe has a player with a significant sports background.

A doctor examined his condition and said he had low blood pressure. The medical team decided to pull him out of the game and he was told that he would not return, leaving only four remaining players in the game: Dawn Meehan, Edward "Eddie" Fox, John Cochran and Sherri Biethman.


French 'Survivor' Gets Cancelled After Contestant Dies on First Day of Filming

Production on "Koh-Lanta", the French version of "", was halted and the show was scrapped for the 2013 season after one of the contestants died during a filming in Cambodia. "It is not really a question," said TF1 spokesman Alexander Petit. "Everyone is being flown back to France."

Gerald Babin, 25, reportedly passed away Friday, March 22 after suffering cardiac arrest on the first day of filming. He complained of cramps in his arms during a tug-of-war challenge and was treated by the staff doctor on the set before being airlifted by helicopter to a nearby hospital.

CBS has announced the cast of ": Caramoan - Fans vs. Favorites". Much like "Survivor: Micronesia" which had the "Fans vs. Favorites" subtitle, the upcoming 26th installment will have 10 returning contestants from previous seasons competing with 10 new players.

Among the Favorites/Bikal tribe is Erik Reichenbach from "Survivor: Micronesia". He was one of the Fans from the season and was voted off after giving up his immunity. A contestant from "Survivor: South Pacific" who had a similar fate, Brandon Hantz, will also join the Favorites tribe.

Mike was glad that they had removed a tumor (Abi) from the tribe, and reconsidered his alliance with Malcolm because Malcolm might be too hard to beat.

It wasn't long before the castaways got a tree mail announcing a challenge, but they didn't know whether it was a Reward Challenge or an Immunity Challenge until they met host Jeff Probst. It turned out they would play in a special Reward Challenge in which the winner would get a huge prize and an advantage in the last Immunity Challenge.

": Philippines" voted off another castaway before entering the finals. The latest episode aired Wednesday, December 12 opened with Abi-Maria thanking others for keeping her in the game. Lisa confessed that she would take someone she could beat to the finals, while Abi tried to convince Lisa that Lisa would be voted out after her.

The castaways then joined the Reward Challenge, where they had to race up and over a slide and run into the ocean to retrieve two bundles of rings. They later tossed five rings onto pegs and the first to toss all five rings to the pegs would win. The winner would be taken on a helicopter and boat ride to see a whale shark, and get pizza and soft drinks.


'Facts of Life' Star and Baseball MVP Join 'Survivor: Philippines'

CBS has revealed most of the cast members for "" season 25. Several famous figures are included in the line-up, including former "The Facts of Life" actress Lisa Whelchel and retired Major League Baseball second baseman Jeff Kent.

"I've watched it from the very first episode, and had Survivor parties with my family," the sitcom star recalls how she's offered the gig. "A friend of mine said, 'Let's just film a little iPhone video of you and you can put it on your Twitter and ask all your followers to retweet it. And maybe they'll contact you and know you want to be on the show.' And that's what happened!"


'Survivor: Philippines' Will Bring Back Three Evacuated Players

Jeff Probst has uncovered a big twist on the upcoming season of "", which will take place in a brand new location in the Philippines. The host of the CBS reality game show opened up to Entertainment Weekly that there will be three returning players as the series returns for its 25th season this fall.

Revealing that "Survivor: Philippines" has recently wrapped filming in the Caramoan Islands, Probst also stated that the new season of the show will bring back some players who were medically evacuated in the previous season. Each returning contestant, he explained, will be on a different tribe. That means the game will reuse a 3-tribe format for the first time since "Survivor: All Stars" in season 8.


'Survivor: One World' Winner Is Kim Spradlin

Kim Spradlin has been declared the Sole Survivor of ": One World" in the all-women finale. Being deemed a frontrunner, she beat out Sabrina Thompson and Chelsea Meissner after Alicia Rosa and Christina Cha were voted out earlier in the May 13 episode.

First, the five women were battling it out for an immunity in a challenge that included a race on a balance beam maze, a cargo net with puzzle pieces, and a puzzle that gave them numbers to a combination lock they had to open. Kim was the first one to complete it and secured her place in the final four. Alicia, meanwhile, was voted out 3-2 in the first Tribal Council.
