Video: 'South Park' Makes Fun of Penn State Abuse Scandal
November 18, 2011 03:11:07"South Park" has once again tried to bring laughter by making jokes on a sensitive issue. The November 16 episode of the animated show took a jab at Penn State sex abuse scandal by featuring a social worker character making fun of the case, much to his own delight.
The social worker, Mr. Adams, appears in "The Soft Room" scene as he tries to talk to Kenny and his siblings who are taken out of their parents custody when they get in trouble with the law. "I've been looking over my file and see you kids have all been horribly physically and emotionally abused. Oh, whoops! That isn't your case file. It's the Penn State University Gazette," he jokes.

'South Park' Renewed Up to 2016
November 17, 2011 01:11:17There are three more years in "South Park" life because Comedy Central has renewed it for broadcast up to 2016. Trey Parker and Matt Stone will continue their role as writers, directors and editors of every episode.
"The collective genius of Matt and Trey knows no bounds," said Michele Ganeless, president of Comedy Central. "Week after week and season after season they continue to surprise and delight South Park fans, and that includes all of us here at Comedy Central. Sneak Peek: 'South Park' Takes on Occupy Wall Street Protests

Titled "1%", the Wednesday, November 2 outing will center on Cartman who fails to pass Physical Fitness exam at his school.
Cartman's classmates are not happy when they have to endure extra work out time because of this. As the 99% of fourth grade kids blame him, Cartman responds, "I know how this works. You're the 99% ganging up on the one percent." Sobbing in his room, he says, "Now the 99% is saying everything is my fault."

Report: Scientologists Sent in Mole to Dig Out Dirt From 'South Park' Team
October 25, 2011 01:10:32Scientologist leaders reportedly did not take it lightly when "South Park" spoofed its teachings in an episode that aired in 2005. A former high ranking official at the church, Marty Rathbun, has leaked a document which detail Scientology's Office of Special Affairs' (OSA) efforts to silence the show's creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone.
According to the document, the leaders of L. Ron Hubbard's religion ordered a private investigation to find weakness in the "South Park" team. It was said that the organization was identifying Parker and Stone's close friends, including John Stamos and his then-wife, Rebecca Romijn, to find a direct line into the writer duo.

The former California governor's love child scandal, which has just been made public earlier this week, is mentioned in an episode aired Wednesday, May 18 as Butters confuses Schwarzenegger's real life with his character's in "Terminator 5".
In a scene set at lunchroom, Butters describes a trailer for the not-yet-released movie, telling his friends that Terminator has an illegitimate child and that Skeletor wants to fight him over it. "No, dude. That's not the trailer for 'Terminator 5' that really happened," another boy responds to Butters' story.

She explains to Britain's Daily Mirror, "Johnny and I are both fans of 'South Park' and the character Mr Hankey the Christmas Poo. It's absurd but very funny. Johnny made this outfit for me and we had a bet which I lost. And I had to wear the Poo outfit on the set."

May 10, 2011 03:05:59The Royal Wedding fever apparently is not over yet. More than a week after the big event took place on April 29, "South Park" will air an episode which spoofs the official union of Prince William and Kate Middleton who are now titled the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.
In the "South Park" version, the prince of Canada is about to take a princess and thousands have gathered outside a building resembling London's Westminster Abbey. However, the woman who is "aboot to be princess of Canada" gets kidnapped right before she walks down the aisle. Coming to rescue her is Ike Broflovski.

'South Park' Creators Facing Copyright Infringement Lawsuit

The song "What What (In the Butt)" by Samwell became a viral phenomenon in 2007 when it racked up over 33 million views on YouTube and became one of the most watched music videos of all time.
The track was mimicked on "South Park" in 2008, when it featured on an episode entitled "Canada on Strike" - but the parody has landed producers in trouble, and they were hit with a copyright infringement lawsuit by Brownmark Films bosses on Friday, November 12.

"It's just because we do the show in six days, and we're stupid and we just threw it together," Stone said in the confession. On October 20, "South Park" aired an episode called "Insheeption" where many dialogues are noticably too similar to the web video called "Inception Characters Don't Understand Inception" which was written by Dan Gurewitch and David Young, and posted on CollegeHumor on August 2. While CollegeHumor said, "Shared unconstructed dream space" to explain what Limbo is, the Comedy Central cartoon said "Empty scary dream space."

In the October 13 episode called "New Jersey", the Comedy Central show took a jab at three phenomenons, "Jersey Shore", Osama bin Laden and "The Real Housewives of New Jersey", at the same time.
Teresa Giudice from the "Housewives" franchise is animated as the woman who likes to flip out when it comes to her family. Snooki from "Shore" also gets the cartoon treatment but instead of being petite, the animated version is big and monster-like. "All they do is hump and punch each other," Stan complained about the Jersey people.

Cartman, Stan, Kenny and assorted other South Parkians attempt to hold the line against the Jerseyfication of the world. Everything east of the Rockies is now part of New Jersey. South Park is in danger of becoming West Jersey within the week and Jerseyites comprising of people like Snooki and The Situation spill into Colorado, approaching South Park.

Man Who Threatened 'South Park' Arrested and Questioned
July 22, 2010 10:07:23Earlier this year "South Park" creators Matt Stone and Trey Parker received death threats from a guy who resided in Virginia for writing an episode which features Prophet Muhammad in a bear costume. Stone and Park can now at least take a breath of relief for Zachary Chesser has been arrested in charges which actually are not related to the threat.
The 20-year-old who graduated from Oakton High School was detained on Wednesday, July 21 for confessing his links to a terror group believed to have affiliation with al-Qaeda. He publicly told the FBI agents that he tried to travel to Kenya and Somalia to join Al-Shabaab, bringing along his infant son so that he would not be suspected. According to the affidavit, Chesser was barred from the July 10 flight and told by the Transportation Security Administration that he was on the no-fly list.

Matt and Trey Respond to Censored 'South Park'
April 23, 2010 09:04:01Comedy Central is not taking a risk of them getting killed by a radical Muslim group so they censored the "South Park" bit which was deemed an insult to the religion's Prophet Muhammad. Two recent episodes of the satirical animation featured the holy figure in bear costume which Revolution Muslim took as an insult. The group quickly responded with a message on their official website.
The post, written by Abu Talhah Al-Amrikee, said, "We have to warn [creators] Matt [Stone] and Trey [Parker] that what they are doing is stupid, and they will probably wind up like Theo van Gogh for airing this show. This is not a threat, but a warning of the reality of what will likely happen to them." van Gogh is a Dutch film maker who was killed by an Islamic extremist in 2004.

The Tiger Woods episode will be the opening of the 14th season which begins Wednesday, March 17. "It's such an important issue in America right now - the sex addiction outbreak," creator Matt Stone told the AP on Friday, March 12. "We're all really concerned about him and hope he gets better."

Alternate 'South Park' Pilot Available to Watch
August 14, 2009 11:08:51The never-before-seen 1997 pilot of "South Park" is now available for viewing pleasure. It's basically the same to the aired pilot "Cartman Gets and Anal Probe" that was broadcast 12 years ago but it includes additional four minutes by creators of the twisted animated series, Trey Parker and Matt Stone.
The way they did it back then was to create it entirely by hand on construction paper. Both Parker and Stone handled the animation and voice work. There is also an option to watch it with commentary from animation director Eric Stough and creative director Chris Brion.

July 11, 2009 01:07:06In an effort to spare their leader a shame, a Russian TV channel cuts a segment of "South Park" that mocks Prime Minister Vladimir V. Putin. The channel, which is called "2x2", said through a spokesman on Friday, July 10 that "the given scene in this version was absent."
Originally airing in U.S. back in 2005, the episode called "Free Willzyx" portrays Putin as a leader who is desperate for money. When Kyle calls him about sending a killer whale to space, he demands 12 million dollars. But realizing that it is just a non-serious call from America, Putin curses on the phone and says "Kiss my a** George Bush, this isn't funny".

Kenny is taking interest in a fifth grader Tammy Warner who, rumor has it, has given a blow job to another boy. Hoping that he too, will get to the second base with her, Kenny brought Tammy to a Jonas Brothers' concert where girls can get their "giney" tickling. When the concert was over, Tammy, a Miley Cyrus look-alike, was on the verge of taking Kenny down when she was called to the backstage to meet the band.

Jonas Brothers Spoofed on 'South Park' Season 13 Premiere
March 10, 2009 02:03:37Comedy Central is back with its 13th season of "South Park" and the show has decided to take on Jonas Brothers in the first episode. The animated satire will have the three brothers as its object of ridicule in the episode called "The Ring" which is aired on Wednesday, March 11.
In a bid to get lucky, Kenny McCormick takes his new girlfriend, which is allegedly a Miley Cyrus lookalike, to a Jonas Brothers concert. His plan is quickly squashed when he and his girlfriend are given purity rings by the brothers. The real life Jonas Brothers have been the center of the town's talk when they were known to wear a promise ring to keep themselves virgins until married.
