'One Tree Hill' Photos Give Look at Chad Michael Murray's Return
February 18, 2012 09:02:24Chad Michael Murray will make a comeback in the next episode of "One Tree Hill" and his scenes have been previewed in a batch of pictures. One photo features his character Lucas Scott comforting his sister-in-law Haley, who is grieving over the disappearance of his half-brother Nathan. His presence apparently will be able to bring a smile on Haley's face as seen in another image.
Lucas's return in Hill will be a brief one since he only makes a stop at the airport to pick up his niece and nephew. Haley and Nathan's children will be staying with Lucas while Haley searches for her missing husband.

Official: Chad Michael Murray Returns for 'One Tree Hill' Final Season

The 30-year-old hunk has confirmed report that he signed a deal to return to the CW series in the upcoming ninth season, tweeting on Monday, August 29, "The secrets out;) Im excited 2 say that 'Luke' will b reuniting with the amazing OTH cast, Producers & Crew 4 an ep! This is 4 u great fans."
Murray's character, Lucas, was last seen on "OTH" in season 6 where he, his wife Peyton (Hilarie Burton) and their new baby Sawyer were happily driving off into the sunset. According to the network, Lucas shows up in Tree Hill again after his friend Haley (Bethany Joy Galeotti) reaches out to him for help.

Hurricane Irene Scare Forces 'One Tree Hill' to Shut Down Production
August 27, 2011 09:08:38Hurricane Irene has affected the production of "One Tree Hill". The CW's series, which is currently filming the ninth and final season in Wilmington, North Carolina, has shut down the production for Friday and Saturday due to the weather scare.
"As a precautionary measure and in consideration of our cast and crew, 'One Tree Hill' production has shut down for today and tomorrow due to Hurricane Irene," a rep for the show explained in a statement. "We will continue to monitor the situation over the next few days."

April 14, 2011 04:04:37Lucas and Peyton will not make any appearance at all in season 8 of "One Tree Hill". Showrunner Mark Schwahn has addressed long-running speculation that the couple will head back to The CW drama by saying, "It's not going to happen. We won't be seeing them this year."
"Everybody had the best intentions," Schwahn further says, revealing that Chad Michael Murray and Hilarie Burton were interested to reprise their roles. "But at the end of the day, it just didn't work out." He adds, "Creatively, I would have loved to have them, or even at the end of the season. But unfortunately, it wasn't meant to be."
