Mya Hooks an Appearance on 'Mercy'

Mya might not get the disco ball trophy on "Dancing with the Stars" this season, but she earns enough credit to guest star in an NBC drama. "Mercy" has booked the singer to guest star in an upcoming episode that airs on January 6.

Her role, according to Entertainment Weekly, is the "guitar-slinging, melodramatic musician daughter of a dying 80-year-old man". The patient is under the care of Michelle Trachtenberg's Chloe. "Mercy", a medical drama from the point of view of the nurses, is taking a break this week and will return on December 9 before again in hiatus until next year.

"Mercy" will present a moving performance by Elisabeth Moss next week in the episode called "The Last Thing I Said Was". The "Mad Men" star had done a guest appearance as a courageous cancer patient whom Veronica takes cue from to confess to her husband Mike that she's been in a secret affair with Dr. Sands.

Meanwhile, Sonia gets relationship advice from an experienced patient and begins to question her arm's-length approach to dating, just as her cop-boyfriend Valentino goes missing. Chloe plans a reunion with a former boyfriend but her evening takes an unexpected turn when she learns some surprising news.

'Mercy' Gets a Horde of Clips and Behind the Scene

"Parenthood" substitute "Mercy" is giving out plenty of clips from the season premiere which is happening on September 23. The compilation of clips starts out with an unexpected situation when Veronica was having breakfast and a car came screeching behind her. In a situation which is critical, the nurse is forced to take immediate medical action with limited instruments.

The rest of the clips show others like the arrival of a new nurse, Chloe who is played by Michelle Trachtenberg. Chloe is a newbie who just graduated from Columbia University on top of her class. What she lacks of is the field experience like having the guts to pull the plug out of a brain dead old man.
