'Jersey Shore' Cast Reflect on Their Show's Six Wild Seasons
December 21, 2012 11:12:20It has been a wild six seasons of "Jersey Shore" and soon its sixth season will be the last for the cast members of the hit reality TV series. This week, MTV will be looking back on the show's wildest moments, packed in a weeklong marathon leading up to the series finale airing on December 20, 10P.M. ET/PT. A live reunion special immediately follows at 11P.M. ET/PT.
In an interview with MTV News, the stars of "Jersey Shore" revealed both their favorite and least-favorite moments over the last six seasons of the show. Sammi Giancola a.k.a "Sweetheart" and Vinny Guadagnino listed their trip to Italy as their favorite moment in the show, while Ronnie Ortiz-Magro and The Situation said their favorite moment was the first day they moved into the "Jersey Shore" house.

'Jersey Shore' Cast Reunites for MTV Hurricane Sandy Fundraiser
November 06, 2012 08:11:19"Jersey Shore" has been canceled, but the cast members have signed up to support an MTV telethon. The live one-hour special called "Restore the Shore" will benefit relief efforts in New Jersey, which was recently damaged by Hurricane Sandy.
Also featuring other celebrity guests, the fundraiser will encourage viewers to donate to help reconstruct the Seaside Heights boardwalk and support the re-building efforts of businesses and residents in the area. MTV is joining forces with Architecture for Humanity, a non-profit organization that provides design and construction services after natural disasters.

'Jersey Shore' Unleashes Emotional Promos for Final Season
September 07, 2012 02:09:00MTV is releasing two promos of "Jersey Shore" final season which will bring nostalgic feelings to fans. Set to Boyz II Men's tearjerking song, one of the videos sees Snooki and her cast mates doing their hilarious activities to emphasize that "it's so hard to say goodbye to partying."
Another promo sees how the gang's habits have somehow influenced others and become a culture in some community. Showing unknown people dressing like the stars of the reality series, the video says, "It may be ending... But it will never be over."

Former 'Jersey Shore' Star Angelina Pivarnick 'Relieved' the Show Is Over
September 01, 2012 09:09:36Angelina Pivarnick has weighed in on the "Jersey Shore" cancellation. While some of the current cast members were sad with the news, the reality star who was featured in the first two seasons of the MTV show admits she's glad it's finally over.
"The show had a good run but now it's time to move on and do other things. I'm relieved it's over," she tells TMZ. Realizing that her image has been partly influenced by the show, she adds, "[I'm] still sad over the way I was portrayed on the show. Now that 'Jersey Shore' is done, hopefully one day down the road I can be looked at better."

'Jersey Shore' Stars React to Cancellation, First Photo of Season 6 Comes Out
August 31, 2012 10:08:31After MTV announced "Jersey Shore" would end its run with its upcoming sixth season, the cast have taken to Twitter to express their feelings about the cancellation. New mom Snooki tweeted, "Yes, sadly it's true. This upcoming season of Jersey Shore will be our last. But it was fricken INSANE. I will always love my roomies!"
Also going somber, Deena Nicole Cortese wrote, "It really just hit me now this summer was the last time I'll be filming with my roomies we all share something incredible thnx to you guys." Sammi Giancola gave a shout-out to her co-stars, "It's been one hell of a ride but this is just the beginning. Thank you all for your love & support throughout the seasons!! These memories will never be forgotten!! (sic)"

Farewell Programs Will Accompany the End of 'Jersey Shore'

Report: 'Jersey Shore' Will End With Season 6
June 07, 2012 03:06:23The cast members of "Jersey Shore" may say goodbye to one another after wrapping up the filming of season 6. A so-called insider told In Touch magazine that the upcoming sixth installment will be the last for the MTV hit reality series.
"An executive producer announced that this season will be the last," the insider revealed. "She stressed to the cast that fans will remember them for this season, not the first, so they should bring their A game."

Snooki Getting Her Own House in 'Jersey Shore' Season 6
May 23, 2012 01:05:02Snooki is not going to share the "Jersey Shore" house with her co-stars in the sixth season of the reality series. An insider tells The Hollywood Reporter that the guido, who is currently pregnant with her first child, will still be a part of the show, but will be living apart from Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino and the other cast members.
A representative for Snooki has not released any comment on the reports, but sources tell TMZ that the guidette opts to live somewhere near the Seaside Heights pad used during the show's filming because of her pregnancy. According to the site, the 24-year-old thinks "it's not worth it to be surrounded by boozy, loud roommates while pregnant."

DJ Pauly D's Huge 'Jersey Shore' Salary Revealed in Agency's Lawsuit
April 13, 2012 11:04:11DJ Pauly D has earned a lot of money for his stint on "Jersey Shore" and his former talent agency, International Creative Management (ICM), is now demanding its cut of the paycheck he received for the last two seasons. The agency has sued the guido for allegedly refusing to hand over commissions from a deal to star on the MTV show.
According to the lawsuit filed on Thursday, April 12 in Los Angeles Superior Court, Pauly D received around $4 million dollars for "Jersey Shore" seasons 4 and 5 combined. ICM claimed the reality star, whose real name is Paul DelVecchio, owes the agency $370,000 in back commission for the past two seasons of the show, plus 10 percent of whatever he makes in season six.

'Jersey Shore' to Return for Sixth Season With Pregnant Snooki

'Jersey Shore' Aims to Film in Jersey City Next
January 18, 2012 12:01:30"Jersey Shore" has done Italy and Miami, and now the gang are looking at Jersey City as their next destination. Producers of the reality show reportedly are scouting location closer to Manhattan for the upcoming sixth season. They have even been in touch with Jersey City officials to obtain the filming permit.
Jersey City is not the only location in their list for they are also interested in Las Vegas and Los Angeles, but it is the cast's favorite. City spokeswoman Jennifer Morrill told MTV News, "Even Snooki and the cast of 'Jersey Shore' know that we have everything - great restaurants, hotels, culture, diversity and proximity to New York City without New York City prices."

'Jersey Shore' Cast React to Vinny's Exit
January 14, 2012 08:01:38Vinny Guadagnino's departure, which was captured in the latest episode of "Jersey Shore", left other cast members feeling sad. Talking to MTV News about the matter, Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino said he and his room mates, especially DJ Pauly D, were all upset when their friend left the Seaside Heights house in the middle of season 5.
"I know [Pauly] was genuinely upset. We were all upset, but Pauly took it to heart, I know that for a fact," so Sitch revealed. Pauly himself seemingly regretted that he did not make the best of his last moment with Vinny as sharing, "We almost had a blowup when he left. You just expect him to be there; you don't realize what you got till it's gone, I'll tell you that."

'Jersey Shore' Season Premiere Ratings Suffer a Decline for First Time
January 07, 2012 10:01:31Around 7.6 million viewers (a 7.2 rating in 18-34 demographic) tuned in the premiere of "Jersey Shore" season 5 on Thursday, January 5. Although the number is still big for an MTV show, it is actually down 14% from the premiere of season 4 last summer.
By comparison, the previous season opened in August 2011 with 8.8 million total viewers and an 8.2 rating in the 18-34 demo. It also marked the network's most-watched season premiere of all time.

'Jersey Shore' Season Finale Rating Shows a Decline for First Time
October 22, 2011 09:10:17"Jersey Shore" did not post a record breaking rating with its season 4 finale. Drawing 6.6 million viewers, the season ender which aired last Thursday, October 20 even dropped 13% from season 3 finale which lured 7.6 million viewers.
This marks the first time the MTV reality show suffered a decline in rating for the season closer. Back in season 1, the last episode posted in 4.8 million. The number was up to 6.1 million for the second season closer.
