June 15, 2011 09:06:25Michelle Obama has dropped by the set of "iCarly" to film her guest role appearance on Tuesday, June 14. Wearing a casual shirt and red pants, the First Lady of the United States greeted the cast one by one and waved to the crew after being introduced on the set in Hollywood.
Looking excited, Mrs. Obama shouted, "Let's do it," while punching her fists in the air. In a picture from the Nickelodeon comedy series, the First Lady is seen smiling and sitting on a couch while Miranda Cosgrove's Carly Shay and her friends are stunned.

June 09, 2011 08:06:29Having made appearances on some talk shows, Michelle Obama is now going to a scripted show. The First Lady of the United States is booked to guest star in an episode of "iCarly", Nickelodeon's comedy series starring Miranda Cosgrove.
Michelle will make use of her appearance to promote Joining Forces, an initiative aimed at increasing awareness and support for military families. "It's a feel-good initiative and regardless of your political affinity, everybody cares about these families, so it just feels right," says the network president Cyma Zarghami on Wednesday, June 8.

The children show fronted by Miranda Cosgrove scored a huge 7.4 million viewers on the recent Saturday, April 9 episode, making it the most watched basic cable program that week and a top kids' cable telecast this year in terms of viewers.
"Our audience will be psyched to get more of what they love - new episodes of their favorite show, iCarly," said Marjorie Cohn, Nickelodeon's president of original programming and development. "We are excited to see what Dan Schneider will do next with our favorite characters."

Nickelodeon Bosses Respond to 'iCarly' Smoking-Related Shirt
November 25, 2010 09:11:09Nickelodeon bosses have distanced themselves from controversy after a character on teen show "iCarly" wore a smoking-related shirt, insisting they had "no idea" what the design represented. Bambu Apparel spokesperson Sarah Saiger was stunned when she spotted actor Jerry Trainor in a shirt from the clothing brand, which also produces cigarette rolling papers.
Saiger tells the New York Post's Page Six gossip column, "It was unbelievable to me that they (Nickelodeon) didn't do any due diligence (sic). I always made sure not to put advertisements for my clothes near kids. I don't want kids buying my shirts. My nieces and nephews are not allowed to wear the clothing. They can look at the artwork, but they do not wear the clothing."

November 13, 2010 02:11:30There is a hilarious clip of Jack Black on "iCarly" released ahead of his guest-starring episode. Black, who co-starred with Miranda Cosgrove on "The School of Rock", is playing Aspartamay aka Spencer's online gaming nemesis who challenges him into a war of words.
"Everybody was really excited to get to work with him," Cosgrove said. "Jerry Trainor reminds me of Jack Black - they're both so funny - and it was really cool to see them work together. I loved seeing them sing a song in the episode. They both dress up as their favorite characters in this World of Warlords game."

McCurdy's Sam has mentioned her mom several times but the figure never came out until now. EW said the episode will be shot next week and aired as part of the show's third season. It is reported that Lynch's 8-year-old stepdaughter is a fan of the show.
