Synopsis
The FBI investigates a death row inmate, David Coburn, after receiving information suggesting he may have been innocent of the murder charge he was convicted on. With Coburn scheduled to die at 12:01am the following day, the team works quickly to discover the truth. They are tripped up by the fact that Coburn, a major LA crime boss, had confessed to the crime, ensuring his conviction despite the weak forensic case against him. However, when Charlie discovers that the confession was bogus, he focuses his investigation on the forensics, which leads him to the real killer, Coburn's son. Desperate to save his son from the same violent life he'd led, Coburn confessed to the crime and accepted the punishment. The team puts all the pieces together moments too late to save Coburn, who dies at 12:01am despite their efforts. However, the do find some solace in the fact that the real killer will face his day in court. Pau Gasol and Jordan Farmar of the Los Angeles Lakers Guest Star As Themselves. Gina Gershon ("Rescue Me," "Face/Off") Guest Stars As LAPD Detective Danielle Hill.
