'Til Death Episode 1.19 The Coffeemaker

Joy and Eddie are sitting in their living room with the Woodcocks when Joy thanks them for the cappuccino machine they received from the Woodcocks. Jeff is a little confused at the fact that Joy said they gave them a cappuccino maker. Joy says Eddie is great at using the coffee maker so Eddie takes their coffee orders. They all have crazy intricate coffee orders and Eddie gets mad that they are making such orders and goes to the kitchen. Joy leaves to shake her frittata. Jeff asks Steph why she spent money on a coffee maker for them. She tells him that they gave them one that they got as a gift. Jeff says that it was a wedding gift from his mother. He then asks her what other things of his she gave away. Eddie makes Steph's drink and Joy brings it to her. Steph tells Joy some neighborhood gossip, and straining to hear it from the kitchen as he makes coffee, Eddie burns himself on the steam.

At school, Jeff thanks Eddie for brunch the other day especially the cappuccinos. Eddie says that the cappuccino maker is ruining his life - he always has to make coffee for Joy! That day at home, Joy gets home and asks Eddie for some cappuccino. He tries to show her how to use the maker but Joy doesn't want to learn. Eddie tells her that she is smart enough to learn but Joy refuses to learn. They get into an argument about who does what for each other.

At the Woodcock's, Jeff is getting a delivery from UPS when he the UPS delivery man asks him what's wrong. He tells him about what Steph did so he gives him Steph's prize crystal apple to him as a tip to get back at her. She comes home and he tells her what he did. She tells him that his mother gave him that crystal apple.

At Joy and Eddie's, Joy is going over a list of all the things she does for Eddie. Eddie goes over his list and it is substantially shorter than Joy's. Joy calls him out on it and says she is going to learn how to make cappuccinos if he takes one of her chores. She makes him to the bills.

The next day, Joy is trying to make cappuccino while Eddie is trying to do the bills. Joy goes to watch TV and realizes that there aren't any channels. Eddie tells her that he changed the cable to satellite because the first month is free and that he is going to change back to cable in a month. Joy is not amused. The next day at school, Eddie is lecturing his students when he has to make a call to his cell phone company for some bill related stuff. Joy calls him to tell him that she is at the grocery store and can't use her credit cards. Eddie has some reason as to why he changed credit card companies to save money.

That night in bed, Eddie is on the phone again trying to save money on their bills when they hear a sound downstairs. Joy goes to check it out and finds a vicious squirrel. She tells Eddie to get it but he won't so she tries to call animal control only to find out that Eddie has changed the phone to another provider that won't be available until the next day. Joy gets mad at Eddie and says that he hasn't learned anything and that she will do everything from now on if he catches the squirrel. He takes Joy's shoe and runs after the squirrel trying to kill it.

The next day, Joy returns the cappuccino maker to the Woodcocks. Steph apologizes to Jeff about giving it away and Jeff talks about how it's special because it's from his mom. He looks at the back and sees a note that the cappuccino maker was a consolation gift from a game show and realizes that it was a re-gift.
