'Chuck': Poster, Sneak Peek and Premiere Date of Season 3
November 20, 2009 10:11:57Good news comes in three for "Chuck" fans. Beside the announcement that the show will return earlier than the initial schedule, NBC has also unleashed a sneak peek and a poster to the third season. These triple treats add to the excitement that the show has been expanded from 13 to 19 episodes.
"Chuck" which was almost canceled after the second season will return on Sunday, January 10 instead of March like the Peacock has planned previously. Even better, fans will be given two back-to-back episodes on the premiere. After that "Chuck" will be moved to its regular slot on Mondays at 8/7c starting right on January 11. In other words, it would be a two-night and three-hour premiere in January. However, "Chuck" will be pre-empted for the Olympics on February 15 and 22.

'Chuck' On the Set: Zachary Levi Directing, Kristin Kreuk Visiting
October 31, 2009 01:10:32Good news comes in two for "Chuck" superfans. After NBC has confirmed that it is adding six more episodes to the order, Zachary Levi who plays the titular character posted an on-set picture that reveals him as a director.
"On the set directing my first episode of television. Guess which show it is. :)," the actor teased on his Twitter post. Words about him directing an episode have actually circulated two weeks ago with the rumor that the episode he will be directing is called "Chuck Versus the Beard" aka the ninth episode of the third season.

'Chuck' May Come in January 2010
October 29, 2009 02:10:06"Chuck" die-hard fans' dream is coming together as NBC put down the order for more episodes in season 3. The Peacock has increased the number by six episodes from the initial 13 to 19. Now that it has been expanded, there is bigger chance that it will be put in January 2010 premiere.
The good news came with a bad one especially for the fans of new drama "Trauma". NBC will not extend the medical series beyond the 13 episodes order. The show indeed had been struggling with rating since its debut episode in September, being a not-so-stellar follow up to "Heroes" on Mondays.

'Chuck' May Come Back Earlier Than March 2010
October 10, 2009 09:10:14There's a good end coming out of "Southland" cancellation after all. Since the show will be out of the schedule on Fridays, there is a chance that another show will be bumped to complete NBC's line-up this season. One show which EW mentioned is the fan favorite "Chuck".
The comedy starring Zachary Levi and Yvonne Strahovski in fact had gone into production in August although NBC put it for March 2010 premiere. "We will be ready to come back whenever we're asked to come back," actor Vik Sahay said in June. At least four episodes have been completed and NBC insiders who have seen them said that this is the best season yet.

'Chuck' Gets Kristin Kreuk as Potential Love Interest
September 03, 2009 10:09:40Kristin Kreuk has been cast to be a potential love interest for Chuck when the show returns early next year. This would be the actress' first major TV gig since she leaves her role as Lana Lang on "Smallville".
Featured in multiple episodes, Kreuk's Hannah meets Chuck on a flight to Paris, EW reported. From there the relationship blossoms into something more, as an insider put it "Chuck and Hannah definitely have feelings for each other." Turns out Hannah falls out of her job in a publishing company and would end up working at the Buy More.

Brandon Routh May Steal Sarah From 'Chuck'
August 28, 2009 10:08:40Although struggling with budget issue, "Chuck" manages to bring in the superman. Brandon Routh, the actor who portrayed the man of steel in "Superman Returns", is getting a guest starring role as a character named Daniel Shaw aka the new spy joining Chuck, Sarah and Casey. He will be featured in a multi-episode arc beginning the fourth episode.
Creator Chris Fedak has more to say about the character although he remains coy on how exactly Shaw will contribute to the whole story. "This year the evil organization Chuck and our gang are battling is called The Ring," he says, "and Shaw is an expert on The Ring."

'Chuck' Won't Return Until March 2010, at the Earliest
August 06, 2009 11:08:19NBC held its Television Critics Association press tour on Wednesday, August 5 and revealed that they stick to their initial plan of having "Chuck" after 2010 Olympics. The cast and producers were previously hoping that they could come back to screen earlier than that because they are set to start the production this month.
At the presentation, NBC Entertainment President Angela Bromstad said, "Three or four scripts [are] in, [and] the show is on a great track creatively. But right now, it's not scheduled to come on until March." The late start could cost the show a long season because by the time it reaches above the 13th episode, it would be summer already. People tend to go outside during the season rather than sitting in front of TV.

The Classic 'Chuck' Poster at San Diego Comic Con
July 25, 2009 10:07:57"Chuck" has generated buzz even before its panel at this year's San Diego Comic Con panel is held. The series about nerd spy has released a poster to be unveiled at the convention Saturday, July 25. It pays homage to the '70s movies with the hand-drawn arts displaying the key characters and the Nerd Herd car smashing through glass.
The panel for "Chuck" will be conducted in the coveted room, Ballroom 20, starting 10 A.M. Guests expected to come are the two lead actors, Zachary Levi and Yvonne Strahovski as well as creator Josh Schwartz. They are expected to explain about the webseries plan which Schwartz spilled previously.

'Chuck' Production of Season 3 Starts in August
June 13, 2009 02:06:42In the same tone to Chris Fedak's statement that "Chuck" may be released earlier than scheduled, Lester's depicter Vik Sahay confirmed that despite being put in midseason 2010, the cast and the crew will be back working as early as this August. "We will be ready to come back whenever we're asked to come back," Sahay said in an interview with TVGuide. "And that's good to know."
Not only that, Sahay also shared another good news when he said that the order NBC put may extend beyond 13 episodes if the third season continually shows a strong rating. "That's the hope," Sahay crossed his finger. "(NBC boss Ben Silverman) said he'll push us into the summer with a back nine (order), so we're planning on making the shows that good."

Creator to Release 'Chuck' Webseries Before Season 3

To bridge the gap and keep people excited about the show, creator and executive producer of the comedy series, Chris Fedak, said that they are trying to create a webseries.

'Chuck' Officially Renewed for Season 3

A day before the formal presentation regarding the Fall schedule, NBC has announced that there will be a third season of the action comedy starring Zachary Levi. However, due to the mediocre rating that it received during the second season, NBC only orders 13 episodes to cut some budget. Also, two staff writers reportedly will be let go and some supporting cast will get reduced time of appearance during the season. Video Promo of NBC's Prime Time Monday
September 08, 2008 02:09:09Warming up to the season premieres of their new prime time line-up, NBC have let out a brand new promotional video. The compilation of footages introduce the network's three prime television series, "Chuck", "Heroes" and "My Own Worst Enemy", which will be aired one after the others every Monday night starting mid-September.
Those three television series won't exactly kick off on the same date and they will start different seasons. "Chuck", which is set to be broadcast on 8:00 P.M., will be entering its second season on September 29, while the third season of "Heroes" will be debuted at 9:00 P.M. on September 22. Additionally, "Worst Enemy" is going to the small screen for the first time on October 13, taking the 10:00 P.M. slot.
