'Bachelorette' Recap: Emily Tearfully Dumps a Guy During One-on-One Date
May 22, 2012 11:05:44After meeting her suitors in last week's episode, Emily Maynard went on dates with some lucky guys in the second episode of "The Bachelorette" season 8. First to receive the date card was Ryan. He and Emily drove off to her house, where he helped bake cookies for her daughter Ricki's soccer game. They later dropped off the cookies to the soccer field, but Emily asked Ryan to stay in the car.
Emily and Ryan continued their date with a romantic dinner, where the single mother told him, "I don't want to be the game." Ryan, in turn, wanted to know if she's going to allow "a man to come in and really treat Ricki the same way that he's going to treat the other children that he's going to have" with her. At the end of the day, Emily found the date to be perfect and gave Ryan the rose.

Randy made a hilarious entrance as he dressed up as a grandma. "Very creative," Emily praised him. Kalon arrived on a helicopter, and soon earned the nickname "Helicopter Guy" from other guys who disliked his move. Travis brought an ostrich egg and said that he would take care of the egg like he would take care of Emily and her daughter Ricki.

May 02, 2012 01:05:50The 25 men who will compete for Emily Maynard's heart on "The Bachelorette" have finally been unveiled. ABC released descriptions of the eligible suitors as well as their photos, less than two weeks before the show's season 8 premiere on Monday, May 14 at 8 P.M. ET/PT.
Among them, there is 31-year-old lumber trader Tony, who presents Emily with glass slipper on their first meeting. Party MC Stevie tries to impress the single mother by breaking into a dance number, while advertising sales representative Travis offers a gift with a special meaning for Emily and her daughter.
