'Arrow' 1.17 Preview: Oliver in Dilemma as The Huntress Returns
February 28, 2013 03:02:20When "Arrow" returns with new episode in the next few weeks, Oliver is as happy as he's been since returning to Starling City with his nightclub, Verdan, set to open and a new romance brewing with McKenna. He and Tommy are also thrilled that they were able to get Steve Aoki to play at the opening of their new nightclub.
However, that won't last long since someone from his past unexpectedly returns to the town. His "psycho" ex, The Huntress (guest star Jessica De Gouw), suddenly returns to town, threatening to destroy everything and everyone he cares about. She wants him to admit he still has feelings for her, but he tells her to leave the city. When there's no other way to stop her except death, Oliver is faced with a tough decision as he claims he can't kill her.

The CW Orders New Season of 'Arrow', 'Vampire Diaries' and 'Supernatural'
February 12, 2013 08:02:29The CW has given early renewals for its three shows, "Arrow", "The Vampire Diaries" and "Supernatural". Freshman hit "Arrow" will return for a sophomore season, supernatural series "TVD" will get a fifth season, while long-running drama "Supernatural" will be back for a ninth season.
"We said last year that one of our goals was to establish building blocks to grow on," said CW president Mark Pedowitz on Monday, February 11, "and now with our new hit 'Arrow' and fan favorite 'Supernatural' on Wednesday night, and the continued success of 'The Vampire Diaries' on Thursday, we've been able to do that."

'Arrow' 1.10 Preview: 'If You're on His List, You're Already Dead'

Plot details of the forthcoming outing are still kept secret, but it has been rumored that Oliver will meet Garfield, a fireman who was badly burned three years ago while on duty after his Fire Chief left him behind. The ordeal ultimately mad him a bitter, vengeful man, causing his wife and kids to leave him.

'Teen Wolf' Alum Colton Haynes to Be 'Important Player' on 'Arrow'
December 12, 2012 01:12:19Two months after revealing his exit from "Teen Wolf", Colton Haynes has landed a new TV gig. He has been cast in a recurring role of Roy Harper on The CW's rookie series "Arrow".
"We were big fans of Colton from Teen Wolf and we are thrilled he's joining Arrow," executive producer Greg Berlanti tells TV Guide. The 24-year-old hunk will make his first appearance on the CW drama series in 2013.

First Photo of the Huntress on 'Arrow'
November 03, 2012 11:11:26"Arrow" has debuted the first look at the Huntress, the alter ego of Helena Bertinelli, who is portrayed by Jessica De Gouw. The picture shows the female vigilante in a black ensemble complete with a mask while taking aim with her gun.
To Entertainment Weekly which obtains the photo, executive producer Andrew Kreisber explains the significance of bringing in the Huntress to the storyline. "She is the dark mirror version of Oliver, and it was a nice contrast to him because he's pretty extreme," he says.

The CW Picks Up 'Arrow' for Full Season
October 23, 2012 09:10:42The CW has given a vote of confidence to its new show "Arrow". After airing only two episodes of it, the network has ordered back nine episodes of the superhero drama series, bringing its first season to a total of 22 episodes.
The titular character depicter, Stephen Amell, was the one who broke the news via his Twitter. "Best way to start a Monday? Getting picked up for your back nine episodes. Thwick. #Arrow," he wrote on Monday, October 22. He stated in another post, "Crew and cast of #Arrow have full hearts today. Thank you one and all for such a warm response. 22 episodes!! Next goal: (we know)."

First Look at Master Assassin Deathstroke on 'Arrow'

Released via IGN, the image shows the character in a dimly-lit space, while holding the titular hero's arrow. He is seen sporting his iconic half-black and half-yellow mask.
Deathstroke is portrayed by Jeffrey Robinson on the CW superhero series. The character's mask appeared in a very quick glimpse during the first episode of the show, showing up on the island where Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell) was trapped on.

First Look at China White on 'Arrow'
September 28, 2012 11:09:54"Arrow" is not going to premiere until October 10, but viewers already get a first look at China White who will appear in the second episode. The female antagonist is highlighted in two new pictures from the upcoming series, clad in an all-black leather outfit. In one of the images, she's standing in a position ready to fight the Green Arrow.
On The CW's show, China White is portrayed by "The Vampire Diaries" alumna Kelly Hu. In the episode that will air October 17, Oliver meets his former lover Laurel, who is prosecuting Martin Somers at the courthouse.

'Arrow' Casts Oliver Queen's Love Interest, The Huntress
August 22, 2012 03:08:30Another DC Comics character is going to be brought to life on "Arrow". The forthcoming series has cast Aussie TV star Jessica De Gouw for a multi-episode arc as Helena Bertinelli a.k.a. The Huntress. She will first appear in the sixth episode.
In DC universe, Helena is more closely associated with Batman instead of Green Arrow. She was born into one of Gotham City's most prominent Mafia families and later becomes The Huntress to avenge the death of her family.

'Arrow' Casts Deadshot and China White
July 31, 2012 10:07:42"Arrow" has found the actors who will play the enemies of its titular hero. The action series, which will debut October 10 on The CW, has added Michael Rowe and Kelly Hu to its cast ensemble to portray Deadshot and China White respectively.
Deadshot is a major figure in the Suicide Squad and is best known for battling Batman in the DC comic. Of casting the relatively unknown Canadian hunk Rowe in the role, executive producer Marc Guggenheim says to TV Guide, "Deadshot doesn't speak much, so he has to have that physicality. And Michael certainly has that. He has that look."

Stephen Amell's Green Arrow Is So Different From the 'Smallville' Incarnation

"Other than in name, there are virtually no similarities between [Hartley's version and the new version]," so said Stephen Amell who tackles the lead role on "Arrow".
Still, the Canadian actor who recently guest starred as Kyle on "New Girl" stressed that he's not saying one of them is better than the other. First Look at The CW's Green Arrow Shows the Pilot's Dark Tone
March 20, 2012 10:03:47The CW has shared the first glimpse of Stephen Amell as Green Arrow in costume for its pilot, "Arrow". In the picture, the lead actor is seen donning a green suit which is designed by three-time Oscar-winner Colleen Atwood, holding a bow and looking pensive while most of his face is hidden under the hoodie.
Though the superhero does not do much in it, the image gives hint at the pilot's edgy and dark tone. The network's development head Thom Sherman previously said the show will be "very provocative and sophisticated and edgy."
