'American Dad!' Renewed for 7th Season to Extend Through 2012-2013

Fox has decided to give "American Dad!" early renewal although the show's rating has sunk down a bit since its 2005 premiere. The animated TV series starring Seth MacFarlane as one of the voice cast will be back for seventh season, bringing it through the 2012-2013 season, so it was officially announced.

Despite the decrease in rating, "American Dad!" actually still manages to pull a fairly dependable audience. Last season, it reportedly scored 5.9 million viewers. "This is fantastic news," Roger the Alien said. "But you do realize I'm not real, right?" That quote by Seth's animated character in its renewal press release seems to express the network's satisfaction with the figure.

The Ejaculation Scene on 'American Dad!' FOX Is Fined For

Parents Television Council (PTC) is none too pleased with a scene in the January 3 episode of "American Dad!" which many refer to as "Horse Ejaculation". FOX is due to pay The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) a $25,000 fine for negligence in properly responding to questions about airing the episode.

The episode, that drew 100,000 consumer complaints, had some between-the-lines racy jokes such as "Makeout Point", "tongue your gas hole", "POPPER Ln" and "CHERRY St." Then there's the horse chores where a character appears to give a horse an ejaculation because of his choice of language.

First Look of Zach Galifianakis on 'American Dad'

This Sunday, November 22, not only My Morning Jacket will be on "American Dad!" but also "The Hangover" actor Zach Galifianakis. The actor and the band will be animated in the episode called "My Morning Straitjacket" and the first look of them as cartoon characters has been released.

Unlike My Morning Jacket who appear as themselves, Galifianakis will be voicing a guest character named Norman. According to Entertainment Weekly, Norman is a superfan of My Morning Jacket who will be performing in a festival. The band reportedly would bring their hits such as "I'm Amazed", "Steam Engine", and "Remnants".

'American Dad!' Previews Season 4 Premiere

With season 4 premiere lurking in the corner, FOX have let out a sneak peek into the new season of "American Dad!" through a video preview. The footage exposes that Francine is packing her bag and planning on leaving the house. Then, it flashes back to the time when Haley went through her puberty and the chaos she put her parents into during the time. In the end, it is revealed that Francine's emotional state is triggered by the fact that Steve is going through puberty.

Season 4 of "American Dad" will be kicked off on Sunday, September 28, at 9:30/8:30c on FOX with the airing of episode 4.01 entitled "1600 Candles". The episode tells that Steve announces he is finally going through puberty. Having experienced the pains of having a teenager in the family, Stan and Francine put aside plans for Roger the Alien's 1,600th birthday and try to go through their fears with experimental medicine.
