November 19, 2009 10:11:31Nicole Fox has won "America's Next Top Model" cycle 13 and thus becomes the first petite model to have claimed the title. Nicole is entitled to a Seventeen magazine cover shoot and six-page spread, a spot at Wilhelmina Models and a $100,000 contract with CoverGirl cosmetics.
Nicole beat Laura Kirkpatrick on the finale after completing her CoverGirl commercial smoothly and conquering the final runway. Laura stumbled a bit on the challenge because of her dyslexia. And when Nigel Barker asked her to think something emotional, Laura could not deliver it to the camera. However, Nicole wasn't exactly an obvious winner from the beginning. Jay Manuel disliked the way she read her CoverGirl commercial because she sounded like a snob.

Sneak Peek to 'ANTM' Cycle 13 Finale
November 13, 2009 11:11:38What happens during the finale of "America's Next Top Model" next week has been previewed by The CW. The final two of cycle 13, Laura Kirkpatrick and Nicole Fox, will have to battle wind and rain when the two elements are brought to the runway. They will also have to be able to pull the final CoverGirl commercial in Hawaii.
Laura and Nicole beat Jennifer An and Erin Wagner during this week's episode when their photo shots in Hawaii were graded well by the judges. One of them will not only be crowned as the winner of cycle 13 but also the first petite model because the show has particularly cast models 5'7" and shorter.

Miss J said that Jennifer's was stiff while Nigel Barker said it wasn't her best. On the other hand Erin was actually praised for her portrayal of Pele with Nigel saying it was gorgeous and sexy.

The eighth episode will see the remaining girls putting their interviewing skills into test. Guest star Jessica Lowndes, whose pictures are also available, will be sitting on the other end to answer the questions from the contestants on the set of "The Insider". Also in the episode, the models are surprised to learn that they have to write their own script for their CoverGirl commercials.

"America's Next Top Model is not immune to these financially challenging times. "Listen, do you know why I am in Los Angeles? Because I am looking for a job," Porizkova explained to Craig Ferguson when she appeared on "The Late Late Show" on Tuesday, May 12. "Because I was fired by America's Next Top Model on my birthday." Porizkova turned 44 on April 9 which means that she may be excluded from the judging panel in the upcoming 13th cycle.

On the Wednesday, May 6 episode, Celia was in the bottom two along with Aminat. The judges were complaining of Celia's old look which could be a problem when she has to do the cover for Seventeen magazine. So they admitted Aminat in, with the warning that she has got to work it in the photo shoots.

The CW held an audition for the 13th season at the New York hotel and hopefuls had been queuing since a night before. The crowd was queuing in a fenced line on the sidewalk of W. 55th St. when a car stopped due to overheating. Somebody suddenly yelled "There's a bomb" when smoke started coming off the vehicle and people began panicking. They ran in every direction away from the car, causing stampede and injuries to several people.
