The guy with the guitar came out as the champion of "" on Wednesday, September 16 finale. Kevin Skinner, a musical act that hailed from Mayfield, K.Y. was awarded 1 million dollar grand prize and a spot at Las Vegas' Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino show when he was announced as the winner of fourth season.

In the final round, host narrowed it down from Top 10 to Top 5. The Voices of Glory finished fifth, followed by Texas Tenors at fourth place and Recycled Percussion at number 3. After dispatching these acts, Nick separated Barbara Padilla and Kevin Skinner to second and first place respectively.

The third batch of talents joining the finalists of "" this season has been unveiled during the telecast on Wednesday, August 19. Dancing group FootworKINGz almost missed the last spot of the Top 5 this week but was saved by the judges' unanimous vote. As a result, dancers Pixie Mystere have to swallow the bitter pill of almost making it to the final.

The first to be read as a finalist was Texan pianist Jeffery Ou who put aside fellow pianist Bri Bernstein. Singer Lawrence Beamen advanced next, followed by married jugglers Mario and Jenny Ferreira, and breakdancer Hairo Torres. Still not quite pleased with America's votes, judge Piers Morgan said upon determining the fifth finalist, "I think America's made some strange decisions with a couple of these acts."

Five More Acts Advance to 'America's Got Talent' Top 20

The second batch of acts joining the Top 20 of "" has been announced. The judges picked five sisters who tap dance, three tenors from Texas, a couple who dances, a singing siblings trio, and gave the final vote to a man and his dog.

These people are known as the Fab Five, Texas Tenors of Houston, Paradizo Dance, Voices of Glory, and Tony Hoard and his dog Rory. All having the chance to win the $1 million prize, the five acts were selected on Wednesday, August 12 through the second week elimination round. They will advance to the semi-finals which will be held in September.

List of Top 40 Acts on 'America's Got Talent' Season 4

NBC has released the list of 40 acts that will compete for "" live on stage. After the two "The Vegas Verdicts" episodes last week, the judges are leaving American audience to vote on who deserve to be in the Top 20, Top 10, Top 5 and eventually the winner.

The Top 40 acts will again be divided into four large groups with the first one begin showing their talents on August 4 starting 9/8c. With the new system, the acts are not given a chance to perform for the second time unless the judges request them so as a challenge.

Host Jerry Springer announced on the seconds leading to the revelation that there was less than one half of one percent between the final votes.
