Fall Out Boy rocker Patrick Stump was stunned by footage of Americans rejoicing after terrorist leader Osama Bin Laden was shot, because he would never 'party' after someone's death.

Fall Out Boy rocker, Patrick Stump was in London to embark on a European solo trek when news broke that the U.S. military in Pakistan had killed bin Osama Bin Laden, the mastermind behind the 9/11 attacks, at the weekend.

Patrick Stump admits he was surprised to see relieved patriots in his homeland waving flags to mark the event and admits he found the news footage "unsettling".

He tells WENN, "The thing that is hard for me as an American is that... obviously it's a symbolic victory for the War on Terror but at the end of the day, I don't think it's ever cool to celebrate anyone's death. I just don't believe in that."

"Not to say that I don't think he was a bad guy - I think he was a bad guy, he did a lot of terrible things. He killed not only Americans, he killed people all over the world, he killed people of all different religions."

"He was a bad guy but I'm not going to jump up and down and party because some guy died - that's not cool. It's unsettling because I can say that I'm glad that he won't order more killings but that's Fall Out Boy it. I'm not glad that a person got shot."

I agree. He was a person that was bad, and probably deserved the death sentence. But the celebrations just felt strange to me.

this guy just put into words exactly how I felt. It's unsettling to think of Americans as a bunch of rah-rah, we killed someone, aren't we cool kind of people. War is never something to celebrate. But, ya, OBL was a BAAD man.
