The 'Challengers' actress goes dramatic with a metallic peacock-colored Maison Margiela by John Galliano gown before changing into a black gown with a floral headpiece.

AceShowbiz - Zendaya Coleman has brought her high fashion to the 2024 Met Gala. After impressing fans during "Challengers" press tour, the star continued to shine at the Monday, May 6 event in New York City.
Hitting the red carpet of The Metropolitan Museum of Art after a five-year hiatus, the 27-year-old stunned in a metallic peacock-colored Maison Margiela by John Galliano gown. The blue-and-green bias-cut dress featured a mermaid tail and grape embellishments to fit with this year's garden theme. The star accessorized it with a fascinator with a long black feather.
The "Dune: Part Two" star, who last attended fashion's biggest night in 2017, added height to her look with custom-made Tabi pumps by Christian Louboutin for Margiela. She added a dramatic look with bright pink eyeshadow and black lipstick. She was styled by her longtime collaborator Law Roach.
While fans sang praise for Zendaya's look, some people failed to get the aesthetic of the dress. "I'M CRYING MY MOM SAW ZENDAYA'S DRESS AND SAID 'Oh, is the theme fruit?' " one person wrote on X, formerly Twitter. A confused user asked, "Does Zendaya finally have a miss?"
Zendaya was not done with her edgy look that night. She later returned to the red carpet with her second look, this time bringing flowers to adhere to the dress code. She traded her metallic dress for an all-black ball gown with long sleeves. The dress also has pockets. She added color to her look with a floral headpiece.
Zendaya is a co-chair of this year's Met Gala alongside Jennifer Lopez, Bad Bunny and Chris Hemsworth. J.Lo, for her part, literally shone in a bedazzled custom Schiaparelli Haute Couture design. The mermaid-style gown was made from sheer tulle and covered in sparkling rhinestones and pearls, finishing off with a flowing train.
The singer/actress, who attended the event solo without husband Ben Affleck, added matching earrings, a bracelet and a diamond hummingbird-shaped necklace. She also wore platform Andrea Wazen heels to match her dress, while her hair was pulled up in a high bun.
Bad Bunny turned into a stylish matador in a custom Maison Margiela navy suit. The outfit featured white dashes down the sides of his jacket and pants and a red stripe running down each of his inner thighs.
To add to his unique look, he accessorized with a voluminous hat, small black and gold sunglasses, black leather gloves and held onto a bouquet of flowers that appeared to be made out of the same material as the rest of his outfit. He also added a pair of Margiela's signature Tabby hoof-inspired shoes, rocking a pair that appeared covered in brown fur.
Chris, meanwhile, went with a traditional sleek cream suit. He attended the event with wife Elsa Pataky, who channeled a goddess in a golden gown and a regal floral headpiece.
This year's theme is "Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion" and the dress code is "The Garden of Time". To adhere to the theme, some of the guests incorporated flowers to their dresses, just like Zendaya and Elsa did.
Also going with a floral theme was Anna Wintour. Jessica Biel stunned in a plunging pink feather-adorned down, while Mindy Kaling went with a dramatic beige gown with large three-dimensional loops rising of her back and shoulder.
