The 'Dreamgirls' star got the chance to sing a duet of 'And I Am Telling You' with Savannah Robinson when appearing on 'The Ellen DeGeneres Show' on Wednesday, March 30.
A 12-year-old newcomer freshly signed to Ellen DeGeneres' record label left Oscar winner Jennifer Hudson speechless when the two singers teamed up to perform on the comedienne's show on Wednesday, March 30.
Pre-teen Savannah Robinson realized her dream when she got to belt out "And I Am Telling You" with Hudson on the program - and the "Dreamgirls" star gave the youngster a big boost by telling her she was "a natural" after she composed herself following the stirring performance.
Robinson said, "That was amazing. I would never think I would be able to do that (sing with her heroine) and I just did." Hudson added, "She's such a natural... I was watching her in rehearsal and she could do it over and over and over again and it just felt like the first time... It took me back to when I was, like, her age... She's very talented."
Then it was the 12-year-old's turn to be speechless when Hudson presented her with VIP passes for her upcoming tour and insisted Robinson join her onstage for another duet rendition of the "Dreamgirls" song they performed together on TV.
