The 'Sherlock Holmes' director is reportedly in talks with officials from his local council after a CCTV camera pole was erected within the boundaries of his house without planning permission.

AceShowbiz - Moviemaker Guy Ritchie is in talks with officials from his local council after a CCTV camera pole was erected in the grounds of his English country estate without planning permission, according to a U.K. report.

The director is said to have put the pole up within the boundaries of his $16.5 million property in Salisbury, England without proper paperwork and chiefs from Wiltshire County Council subsequently sent an enforcement officer to carry out an inspection.

Ritchie was told the pole would have to be taken down unless he received retrospective planning permission, according to Britain's Mail on Sunday. A council spokesperson tells the publication, "We have looked into it and found there is no planning consent for the pole. A retrospective planning application has now been made. If that is not agreed, the pole may have to be taken down."

This is the second property problem for Ritchie in as many months, in February his $9 million London house was taken over by squatters. He was forced to take legal action and a judge then ruled the director could have his property back.
