Nicki Minaj lands at the second spot, followed by Travis Porter, Diggy Simmons and J Cole.
Rap newcomer Wiz Khalifa has beaten Nicki Minaj and J Cole to top a new MTV survey as the Hottest Breakthrough MC of 2010. The rising star was one of five finalists, alongside Lil Wayne's protegee Minaj, Jay-Z's artist Cole, Rev Run's son Diggy Simmons and Travis Porter to land the honor as the most promising new artist on the hip-hop scene.
More than 200,000 fans voted in the online poll, which was limited to up-and-coming artists who had not released a major label album by June 21 or who had not previously been mentioned in MTV's Hottest MCs in the Game survey, which was unveiled earlier this year.
Other rappers making to the Top list are Big Sean, Curren$y, Tyga, Roscoe Dash and Donnis.
