The OneRepublic's frontman gushes that he is 'extremely excited and looking forward to' welcome his first baby with wife Genevieve, stating that he has studied parenting books.
Ryan Tedder, the man behind Leona Lewis' "Bleeding Love" and Beyonce Knowles' "Halo" hits, is set to become a first-time father in August. The singer/songwriter and OneRepublic's frontman has revealed his wife Genevieve is a month away from her due date, and he's very excited. He tells People, "I'm going to be a dad for the first time. I'm extremely excited and looking forward to it. We are having a boy. (Genevieve)'s due in about four weeks."
And Tedder has been busy studying parenting books to prepare him for the impending arrival. He adds, "I've done my homework. So hopefully I can handle it." The star will be able to turn to his bandmates for support and guidance - OneRepublic's lead guitarist Zach Filkins and his wife Lindsay recently became parents to little Leighton Zachary.
Filkins is confident Tedder will be a great dad, saying "It's funny, you never know how you're going to be as a dad until it really happens. But, with Ryan, I feel he has everything it takes to be a great dad. He has nothing to worry about. He's going to be extremely informed."
