Keane's Star Furious That His Song Is Used for Political Campaign

While Richard Hughes is not happy that his band's 'Everybody's Changing' is used by Conservative Party leader David Cameron, a representative for the party reveals the politician loves the song.

Keane's frontman Richard Hughes is furious with Britain's Conservative Party leaders after learning they're using one of his songs as a political anthem - without his permission. Party leader David Cameron has been using the band's "Everybody's Changing" hit to rally supporters on the campaign trail in the run-up to the U.K. government elections on 6 May.

And Hughes, who supports the current Labor Party Government under Prime Minister Gordon Brown's leadership, is far from happy his song is being used by the opposition. In an angry Twitter rant, he writes, "Told the Tories (Conservatives) played keane at their manifesto launch (sic). Am horrified. To be clear - we were not asked. I will not vote for them."

But the Conservatives are defiant. A representative for the party says, "It's a great song and David's a great fan."
