The Oscar-winning screenwriter has affirmed reports mentioning her pregnancy, tweeting 'No secrets here; just thought it would be fun to see how big I could get before someone noticed.'
"Juno" screenwriter Diablo Cody has confirmed reports she's expecting her first child. Cody, who won an Oscar for writing the 2007 comedy about a pregnant teen, has taken to her Twitter blog to announce the happy news, which follows reports she had secretly married her boyfriend.
She writes, "Thanks for the congrats on my fetus. No secrets here; just thought it would be fun to see how big I could get before someone noticed." The mum-to-be later confirmed the identity of her partner, the baby's father.
On the secret marriage report, Diablo Cody revealed on her Twitter page that she married staffer Dan Murio. She wrote, "I'm not 'secretly married.' I married Dan last summer. Took wedding photos in Times Square, which is pretty much the opposite of secretive."
