Kim Cattrall is returning to her home city of Liverpool, England to play Cleopatra on the stage, according to a U.K. report. The "Sex and the City" star was raised mainly in the U.S. but has never forgotten her roots, regularly returning to the U.K. to star in London plays.
But now she's heading north to Liverpool to portray the Egyptian queen in the theater, according to Britain's Daily Mail. The publication's film columnist Baz Bamigboye claims Cattrall has been in talks with bosses at Liverpool Everyman theater for two years and has agreed to tackle the role in autumn.
Kim Cattrall has been credited for her stage roles in Arthur Miller's "A View from the Bridge" and Anton Chekhov's "Three Sisters" and "Wild Honey".
