Justin Bieber's manager has turned himself in to police to face charges relating to the singer's chaotic appearance at a shopping mall in New York in November 2009. The teenage star was forced to cancel a signing at the Roosevelt Field mall in Garden City, New York after thousands of fans descended on the venue - overwhelming security teams and police. One young girl was hospitalized in the chaos.

After the incident, the singer claimed he and several associates had been threatened with arrest unless he sent out an internet message to fans using his Twitter page, informing them the event had been canceled and urging them to go home.

Bieber's manager Scott "Scooter" Braun turned himself in to police on Wednesday morning, March 24 to answer misdemeanor charges of reckless endangerment and criminal nuisance - after he allegedly refused to send the tweet and cancel the event, according to TMZ. Braun faces a year in jail if convicted.
