In a new interview, the model, who serves as a judge on 'America's Got Talent' alongside the actress, explains why she's disappointed after learning of Sofia's gig on the Netflix show.

AceShowbiz - Heidi Klum jokingly expressed her disappointment at not being cast in Sofia Vergara's crime drama miniseries "Griselda". Speaking to ET at the "America's Got Talent red carpet event, Klum admitted that she had her eye on a particular role.
"I was upset because I was like, 'Why couldn't I have been one of your cousins?' I could have been a cousin that doesn't speak, because obviously I don't speak Spanish," Klum said with a laugh. "But I could have just been, you know, not speaking!"
Klum pointed out that she could have joined the cast as "one of those gorgeous girls," but Vergara turned her down, saying, "Nein."
In "Griselda", Vergara portrayed infamous drug kingpin Griselda Blanco, known as the cocaine godmother. The well-received six-episode miniseries debuted on Netflix in January.
Despite not co-starring in "Griselda," Klum and Vergara will reunite for the upcoming season of America's Got Talent. Klum acknowledged that she and her fellow judges also spend time together off set.
"I always have like dinners with Sofia or go to her house. We do, like, girly things together," Klum said.
Vergara echoed Klum's sentiments, praising their close friendship and mutual support during filming.
"We look at each other and it's like, 'You need more lipstick,' or, 'Your hair is not right.' We're always taking care of each other," Vergara shared.
Season 19 of America's Got Talent premieres May 28 on NBC.
