After the 'Enough (Miami)' raptress threatened to sue the LAPD over the alleged three-hour traffic stop, a representative for the artist claims that her story was 'taken out of context.'

AceShowbiz - Cardi B's representative has backtracked on her claims about an alleged recent search by LAPD. After the Grammy winner threatened to sue the police over the humiliating incident, her rep has shut down her allegations.

In a statement to The Daily Beast on Tuesday, March 2, the representative said that the Instagram Live video Cardi posted on Monday night was "taken out of context" and there was "no truth" to the accusations she made. The rep added, "Apologies for any confusion," without going into further detail.

Cardi sparked concern and outrage from fans after she made the bombshell allegations during an Instagram Live session on Monday. She recalled the alleged incident during which officers reportedly pulled her over on suspicion of fentanyl trafficking and a gun in her vehicle. She stated that they searched her car for three hours but failed to find any evidence.

"I got stopped by the cops yesterday," Cardi alleged in the video. "They thought I was trafficking fentanyl, and they thought I had a gun in my car, so they stopped me and everything. All the helicopters in L.A., they was outside. Yo, I was freaking out."

"They had me outside for like, three hours," Cardi continued in her video. "They had me getting butt naked outside, s**t was crazy. It was deada** a movie and whatever, but you already know." Fuming, the Bronx femcee said, "I'm about to sue the LAPD. They got me f**ked up."

Cardi also said that the officers did not recognize her. "I told them like, 'Yo, I'm Cardi B. Like, do I look like I gotta sell some s**t? Why would I do that? I would never pull no s**t like that,' " she said. "They didn't believe me."

The "Bodak Yellow" hitmaker continued, "It was some white cops and they ain't know who I was. They was really tough on me and everything. They said somebody gave them a clue. I really feel like it was one of my opps and s**t, like they really trying to ruin my life type s**t. Like y'all don't even f**king know. I been going through a lot lately."

However, an LAPD Media Department spokesperson told The Daily Beast that "at the moment, we don't have any information as to what she's alleging." LAPD detective Meghan Aguilar added, "The LAPD has no record of contact with Cardi B."

Additionally, sources for the department told TMZ that if something as dramatic as what Cardi described did occur, it would be on record.
