The 'Iron Claw' actor is reportedly in talks to take the starring role of The Boss in an upcoming feature film about the making of Springsteen's 1982 album 'Nebraska'.

AceShowbiz - Jeremy Allen White will need to flex his vocal chops for his possible next project. Fresh off his award wins for his role on "The Bear", the actor is reportedly in the running to play Bruce Springsteen in an upcoming biopic.

The two-time Golden Globe Award winner is in talks to portray the 74-year-old singer/songwriter for the feature film titled "Deliver Me From Nowhere". It it based on Warren Zanes' 2023 book of the same name and will focus on the making of Springsteen's 1982's album "Nebraska".

No deals have been finalized, but Scott Cooper is circling to write and direct the movie. The project is being developed at Gotham Group with Eric Robinson and Ellen Goldsmith-Vein on board as producers, while A24 is in talks to board the project.

Former Netflix film head Scott Stuber is also involved in the screen version of "Deliver Me From Nowhere". He has joined as a producer in his first major film project since parting ways with the streaming giant.

"Nebraska" is Springsteen's sixth studio album, a dark stripped-down collection of songs that marked a new artistic direction from the "Born to Run" rocker. Featuring blue-collar narratives and with Springsteen performing all the instrumentals on his own, it arrived in 1984, two years before his smash "Born in the U.S.A." came out. "Nebraska" landed at No. 150 on Rolling Stone's 2020 list of its 500 Greatest Albums of All Time.

As for White, he is best known for playing Phillip "Lip" Gallagher on Showtime's "Shameless" from 2011 until 2021 and as chef Carmen "Carmy" Berzatto on Hulu's "The Bear". He earned multiple awards, including two Golden Globes, one Primetime Emmy and three SAG Awards, for his role on "The Bear". He recently also starred alongside Zac Efron in 2023's biographical sports drama "The Iron Claw".
