AceShowbiz - Alicia Keys will perform at Usher's Super Bowl Halftime Show. If a new report is to be believed, the "Empire State of Mind" hitmaker has been tapped as a surprise guest in the highly anticipated performance.
Revealing the news was TMZ. Sources close to the production divulged that the 43-year-old rehearsed with the "Yeah!" crooner inside Allegiant Stadium on Thursday, February 8.
Alicia and Usher reportedly are "doing one big song together," which is their No. 1 collaborative single, "My Boo". The track itself was released back in 2004.
It looks like Alicia isn't the only artist to join Usher onstage on Sunday, February 11. TMZ also revealed that the 45-year-old Grammy-winning singer is currently having a conversation with Justin Bieber about their potential duet at the sports event.
Speaking to the media outlet, a source spilled that "Usher reached out to [Justin] about performing" and "there were no handlers involved on either side, they talked directly to each other." However, the insider noted that they have not found out the result of the conversation yet. Still, they revealed that Usher, who mentored Justin at the beginning of his career, "definitely wants [Justin] to join him" for the forthcoming show.
It was also unveiled that Usher is set to have Lil Jon as one of his special guests for the Super Bowl Halftime Show. On Wednesday, February 7, a source, who claimed to be close to the situation, spilled to The Shade Room, "I found out that Lil Jon will be a part of his Super Bowl performance."
"It's giving 'Yeah!' reunion," the insider continued while making a reference to Usher's collaborative song with Lil Jon and Ludacris. They continued, "But IONO if Luda will also participate, but why wouldnt he?! It's giving, 'Please tell yo lovers & friends, that Usher, Jon, and Luda had to do it again!!!' "
