Eric Stonestreet explained the reason why he looked in pain in a segment on a talk show.

Earlier that same day, Eric made an appearance on the TV show. Before his interview, co-hosts Hoda and Jenna Bush Hager teased their upcoming chat with the actor. When the camera panned at him, he could be seen waving one of his hands and flashing a big smile for approximately 10 seconds of air time.

At one point, Eric was documented dropping his radiant smile and closing his eyes before he took a deep breath. He closed his eyes and pressed his lips together for a few seconds until he put the smile back on his face. He did all those while still waving his hand at the camera.

During the interview itself, Eric talked about a reunion with his "Modern Family" co-stars, including Sofia Vergara and Ty Burrell. He began saying, "Well you know that group of people hadn't been together since we wrapped. I hadn't seen the kids since we wrapped so it was great to see them."

"The Santa Clauses" star further recalled, "And then everybody thought Ty died because of the picture we were holding up of him and the flowers. And we didn't realize it at the time but it did kind of look like a memorial, we're all in black."

About the connection that he has with his co-stars, Eric explained, "That's the great thing we had with that show. We all got along so great and we all loved each other so much so it was it was just like, yeah, you know how."
